Yayo! Dot checkin in again to ask (most likely) obvious questions!!

I saw the CW options, even wishlisted quite a few, but I have a few questions about them. I was thinking of starting to make some meself, but I didn't really find anything useful about how to go about that. Is there a base I have to download to make my items on? Do i just ctrl+c ctrl+v the blank ha in my program of choice? What size does the canvas have to be?

And since I saw the two threads in the specific subforums, are those rules still valid? I saw a comment saying it's outdated, so which ones still apply, I'm especially curious about some of the more, ac-hem, nitpicky rules still being valid or not.

I reiterate that yes, I looked up info and it gave me diddly, only more questions than answers.

Yes, copy and paste the blank ha in your program of choice. Or you can use the larger sizes provided by subeta here (under the part of "how do I create a cw?")

Idk what you mean by canvas...

You can zoom in to your heart's desire but ultimately anything that is submitted as a cw "must be a 125x250 pixel PNG" (as stated on the create a cw page). The submitted cw should have a transparent backdrop .. unless you're submitting a background which takes up the whole 125x250 size then it won't have a transparent area (but it could .. like if you wanna include a window or something).

For the cw item.. "Your item's image; must be a 64 x 64 pixel GIF with a solid white background color."

I don't know which rules you are referring to, so I can't answer about them. When I did a ticket way back in 2017 asking if a cw would be accepted, staff responded they can't answer unless I submit the cw. They may have changed that rule since then but not sure. :l

That thread's rules still hold largely together regarding cw overlay. I would say garish/oversaturated items are being accepted. The most out of date is the cw item.

I'd look at all items in the wardrobe and select only cws and see what items are being accepted by the queue to get a feel. And I'd post in this thread to ask your question(s):

Have you checked out the guide in the Custom Wearable section of the Cash Shop? It also has links to the official FAQ, and while the denial reasons aren't completely up to date (such as "doesn't sit right on HA base" using a background example even though backgrounds no longer need to have the HA cutout), it should still stand as a decent guideline for denials. I don't think the rules changed so drastically that the reasons no longer apply, it's just not as up to date as the rules and guidelines linked in the CS itself

I didn't actually see it, if there is anything to complain about this place is just how scattered everything feels, especially for someone who didn't grow up with such a site layout. It did clear up a few of the questions I had though, so I appreciate the link anyway!

re paying csc - yep, you pay csc to submit your design, the amount depends on what kind of item you are submitting

here is the submit cw page which will have a pricing breakdown you get a copy of the cw once it's approved, the rest of your cw copies go to your shop and you basically decide how many copies to release :)
