Hey all! Was doing some quests today but one of the items had an interesting part of its description: Description: "All the secrets of the paralix can be wielded against your many foes using this staff of Knowledge. Clue : Looking toward a fluffy avenged toy, one will find what they seek."

Is this from an old plot or something? I'm too short on sleep to figure out what the "avenged toy" is supposed to be. Anyone able to help sate my curiosity?

I'd really like to know the answer too. I tried looking around for an answer, but a lot of different Subeta-related pages can't be found with Google.

I did find a post from a non-Subetan forum dating back to 2004 referencing a Subeta Trivia whose hint was "Found in the Words of a staff of Knowledge" but there are many trivias in the Trivia Archive and all their answers seem to have been NULLed so even if one does find which trivia it was in reference to, the answer to that trivia and its POSSIBLE relevance is gonna be a mystery.

Unfortunately I've realized that I've put over 40 minutes of searching into this mini-mission so I think I'll have to call that search quits there. xD

Like I found Trivia asks "What was Avenged's first username on Subeta.org?" and that's got a matching keyword and there's an item called "Dark Matter Staff Toy" that's kind of odd but then there's the Common Paralix Hand Puppet has a less-enthusiastic description from its neighboring regular hand puppets with "Just an ordinary paralix handpuppet..." along with the odder Bloodred version saying "its so real!" in its description... Turns out I put a lot more into this search than I realized.. hah.

Curiosity got the best of me here and then bested me. 😭 Hope a 2004ish player can come answer this question, cause I'm dying to know though. xD 2004 was very far from my era and I don't have the faintest idea what happened there besides the year opening.. so any Plots or Mysteries are out of reach there. That 2004 forum post seems to indicate that a Staff of Knowledge has been a thing since way back when though, so I assume it could be from way back when... Unless the description was changed more recently than 2004, that is.

LOL I did some looking around too! Didn't find anything. I checked items released at or near the same time as the staff and nothing stood out. Checked toys from earlier than the staff release and found nothing there. Checked plushies too, because even though they are not toys now, back then they were. Found nothing. Its possible that it referenced a "Keith item" - but those have been modified and changed since those days. The mystery may never be solved - or it might just be one of those in jokes that simply never had an item associated with it.
