I saw on r/neopets a report from NetDragon showing the earnings and all of different franchises under it, and apparently Neopets increased in revenue by 1% in the past year even though advertising for all franchises across the board was increased in 12% in costs, so I'm wondering if they're trying to find other ways to get money from the site since the Candy Crush/Disney Island/Scrabble rip off apps are definitely not breaking the ground for revenue

lol yea they've been pumping out bad ideas for years. if netdragon wants to get into the crypto game, it's definitely an easy (enough) cash grab especially during pandemic times where stuff like merch is prob more difficult to do. and they clearly dont care that its pissing off the ppl who actually play neopets

it's profits so I'm guessing it's after all expenses paid, which yes it's very little, but also, Netdragon sucks at approaching the Neopets userbase they estimate that supposedly is almost 1 million people a month... It doesn't help that the site is so undercared for and the staff is so freaking stupid and tone deaf and mean spirited that I don't see why people would want to pay for memberships on a site you get frozen left and right and the support staff laughs at you

I didn't read the news article with close attention but apparently Facebook is planning to get into the whole metaverse thing as well (not sure how it applies to them, I know the company owns Oculus, but IDK if it's just that or there's more) and they'll change their company name next week to reflect that

also, they seem to have delayed the Quidd NFT release because of the Metaverse NFT issue where the company doesn't seem to be delivering their part as per schedule... I am gonna keep tabs with the story for this last part of october, since they were supposed to be released by the late part of the month right?
