Neopets is going crazy, and it seems like it's on an immediate downward spiral, but then I remembered about Subeta and I figured I'd give it an honest go. I think I've tried it twice in the past but never really stuck around, but considering Neo might not exist soon I think it's worth one more. :P

I've been trying to get into the Coliseum here, Neo hasn't had HP increase in forever so having NPCs with HP increase is a massive breath of fresh air.

Battling is one of the things I do most on this site! It feels rewarding to see my pets grow up strong with exp/training center. :) I would definitely recommend trying to read books to your pets, and also trying to complete as many battle quests as you can. That exp can stack up ❤ And of course using the training center!

Battling can also be a bit of an investment in your pet - so if you need sP I definitely recommend doing quests such as The Old Wizard's

welcome!! honestly I think you'll find advancement here to be a lot easier on neo; getting money and resources is SO MUCH EASIER. like Jovi said, battling is quite the investment, I recommend trying to focus your attention on one pet to start with. reading books to your pets will eventually give them a resource called Alchemy Points which allows them to use spells in battle, which are essentially an extra action on your turn (so you can have two weapons, a potion, and a spell all in one turn!). yearly there's at least one site-wide boss, but sometimes events will have them too! and there's plenty of seasonal challengers that drop very nice loot-- Morostide, the Halloween-adjacent holiday, is coming up, and has lots of really cool challengers!

Hello Rusty! Fellow newbie and former Neo player here! I have to agree with previous posts that advancement is much easier and more accessible here than on Neo. I highly recommend doing quests for sP!! They’re so much more profitable than Neo quests. I hope to see you around!

I will keep all of the advice in mind! So far it's been way easier getting started. It took years to get a strong Neopet but it seems like it will be much quicker here.

hey welcome! i just migrated from neopets a few days ago myself. it takes a little bit to get acclimated to everything, but i think you'll find that many general concepts here are familiar from the neo experience. tbh i already feel so much more at home on this website? like u can tell how much care has gone into it and the first couple days i felt like i was a kid discovering neopets all over again

also here from neo, just joined last night! after work im gonna look at some of the newbie guides and stuff to get acclimated but i like how they seem to actually be putting effort into the website's updating process

I know a lot of ppl lately have been coming here from neo, what exactly has been going on there?? I left neo a long time ago, so I'm curious how it is now??

Recently Neopets announced they'd be doing NFTs, which a lot of people disagreed with in itself but a lot of other drama has cropped up around it with the team working on it. A lot of homophobia and posting of alt right dog whistles from the NFT team. Recently they doxxed a kid who was spamming their Discord. It's causing a lot of people to finally give up on Neopets.
