Hi there! I'm Shiori :) I'm looking forward to meeting new folks on this site.

I was brought to Subeta by a recommendation in a random reddit thread! I've been interested in revisiting my old pet sim site days, but I wanted to try something I hadn't tried before...which brought me here with many recommendations from random folks! So far I've been having fun doing quests and such :) I love the art style and pet designs and such. I definitely think I'll be sticking around for a while, so I'm looking forward to having some friends to enjoy the experience with.

A little about me: I'm a college student - late twenties, got a late start but I'm applying myself and figuring out what I want to be when I grow up. My hobbies include playing video games (some of my favorites being The Sims 2, Breath of the Wild, Stardew Valley, The Binding of Isaac, Animal Crossing) doing cross stitch, listening to true crime podcasts, watching YT videos & TV & movies... pretty basic stuff, lol.

welcome!! I'm coming back from a hiatus and I was worried things would be too quiet, but there seems to be a small influx of new folk! I don't know if everyone is just on private servers now but the forums seem to have been pretty quiet for a while... hopefully newcomers + the upcoming holiday liven things up a bit! you're gonna love holidays here, they're always a blast, and Morostide is one of the best.

I'm glad you're having fun! I've been on a Sims 4 kick myself lately, and I also LOVE Stardew and Animal Crossing-- I haven't been able to get NH yet but I have so. many. hours logged on ACNL.

Thank you for the welcome! I'm hoping to see some new folks coming through as well - I suspect there may be some migration from Neopets considering all that's going on with their site at the moment.

I loved AC New Leaf a lot, and honestly it's hard for New Horizons to measure up fully in terms of features. I'm hoping that Nintendo will be announcing a big update with their next direct, I really love being able to play an HD Animal Crossing game, but I really sucked the game dry during the first few months of the pandemic and I'd love to be able to revisit it with fresh eyes.

Thank you for the welcome and all the helpful links! I'm only enrolled in the gen ed program at the moment, but I'm leaning toward pursuing a degree in education. Probably literature or history, I'm big into arts and humanities.

Stardew is THE best. Who do you usually pick for a partner?

Harvey all the way. I always try so hard to branch out every time I start a new game but...I just cannot resist him!!

I've been waiting for all of the big updates to roll through because I didn't think ACNH was "finished" yet... totally not because switches are perpetually out of stock where I live. that's totally the reason. I'm totally a patient, methodical person who waits for things, yep. I still boot up ACNL sometimes, I'm slowly working on a new town, since my first playthrough was literally my first experience with the AC series and man I was sloppy lol

also I haven't married Harvey yet but I do love that there's older bachelors in the game! Harvey seems really sweet but I'm attached to Shane, it seems. XD
