I can't tell if it's right in front of my face and I'm just missing it like I often do 😅 or if it's just not an option? Is there a way to search through the forums for topics, keywords, etc?

Yes, there have been forum search options in the past, but they all caused various problems and no longer exist.

Your only option is to use google (or other search engine) extended search functions and restrict the searching to the forums. Or just do a general google search.
