I've never purchased a CW before. There's one I want in a user shop (not CW shop) and I'm wondering if people haggle/do discounts on their listed prices they way many do for regular site items? Would it be in poor taste to offer less than they're asking for? What's the etiquette?

Step one see if the user has a board up. Or check profile as sometimes users list what they may accept for bigger costing items. Step two be ready to accept the answer that's given. Step three if there's room for a compromise try to come up with something good. Usually partial csc and sp is the win. But some might take csc and WL items.

Step 4 browse the r200 forum in advertising to see if there's other CWs you like in your current price range. You'd be surprised what some people let go points to mask i always wanted this, never had a proper chance then boom random luck!

FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.

Thanks for the detailed response! I guess I might as well go ahead and ask, the worst they can do is say no. c: They do indeed have a board, but only mention trading for other CWs.
