Hey! I think this site is neat but I have no idea where to start or what should I be doing and paying attention to. Tips... anything is greatly appreciated

Things to do every day -

Do quests.

To add to what Ciannwn said, don't be afraid to ask questions. Also check out the Donation Center from time to time as well as Charity for free food =D
Dailies page is a great place to start. You can learn about earning sP and read the FAQ as well if you have other questions.

The Donation Center currently has a lot of items that might be good for you :) Check it out for the next few days and you might get nice retired items.
Try Item hunt for quick sp making, but don't complete it too soon if you think you'll need the fast money again. The way it works is that Chase asks you for one item that starts out very cheap but gets increasingly more expensive as the level rises.
One of Subeta's main features is the Battle Coliseum, but it's super expensive to get anything done in it. Pretty much every plot has a boss battle of some kind, though. If you want to get in on that, go check the Battle Forums.
I've never liked battling mecanics tbh, so I'll stay away of that at least till I get a better grasp of the site.
Welcome to Subeta! What interested you initially?
Personally when I first got started I worked on getting a few pets I really liked, as well as a few wearable items I really liked. Questing was my favourite way of making money, I'd say at least 95% of the quests are profitable, so overall you'd earn money. It's nice to be able to see all the items as you quest too, sometimes I buy extra to keep myself c:

As everyone has said, dailies and quests are great!
I always do Shinwa first, then Sarah if you qualify. This is a good start on sP for the day. After that Quentin and Library are two very profitable quest options. It can be hard to get through all quests for all quest givers unless yo uhave hours every day, so sometimes it is good to decide what you are going to start with/prioritize.
Some of the games as mentioned can be good. Defnitely do item hunter (bottom of games page) every day, until it asks for an item that is way more expensive than the prize. The first 5-10 might be kind of a wash because the prize grows starting at 1000 sP, but it can be a way to make a few hundred thousand sP a day on the higher levels.
