So about a month ago-ish my neighbors sold their home. They said the new people taking it are nice and laid back much like they are.
Coming to find out these people are NOT chill at all. They have nothing but bad things to say about my old neighbors and how they had kept the yard and house. They promptly tore out all fencing and a majority of the garden work. There's a line of trees that separated their driveway from my "yard" and they took out all that was on their side of the property line. I'm well aware its theirs they can do as they wish/able to do. It's just they also bullied mt old neighbors into moving out sooner too. They lived there for 30 years and didn't anticipate the home selling less than a week after official listing. The new people at first said it'd be fine to wait 30 days to give them time to pack and ready the home. Then they wanted to move it up and take the gouse sooner. They didn't even get to think it over before the new people were asking if they could have it the day after closing! In the end they agreed on the 30 days.
I think they came from an HOA from where they lived before based on how they are reacting to the neighborhood. They first have come after me for how the building i live in looks and to see if they could get the rest of those "unsightly " trees so they can put grass down where the trees used to be. The guy came over to ask me how I had a puddle in my driveway when "we're having extreme heat right now". This is when I explained im in a rental and there's not much I can do but put in maintenance request papers. Which I'm NOT going to do for them as the things they gripe about aren't hurting ANYTHING. Plus I don't want to get kicked for being a "problematic tenant ". The actual lawn care guy even got roped into talking to the guy about the trees getting pulled and over how the back field behind our units looks. The neighbors won't quit about "raising the curb appeal level".
And just a bit ago our pound people were here that check complaints. I've lived here over a year and NEVER heard or seen anything to be worried about for any animals, not even the wildlife we get around here. No sooner than these new people come live in the house then the agencies that check on things started showing up to our rented units...
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
sorry you're having such troubles.
Makes me think they are "flippers" - buy a house cheap, fix it up and then resell for a profit. That could explain their "curb appeal" issues and also why they were so anxious to get the former owners out and take possession, they would want a quick turnover.

I think is absolutely right that they're flippers. If they're from a HOA that's even worse--HOAs are some of the most miserable parts of residential life. With any luck, your neighbors will be gone soon. If not, I'm sorry you're going through that--neighbors can truly make life hell. The best advice I've been given is to keep interactions minimal, friendly, and brief. Normally renting can kinda suck, but at least the landlord would be the one who has to deal with any petty complaints they have about how your home looks.
Ugh, yeah, I'm sorry for your troubles! They definitely sound like flippers, so maybe they'll be gone soon? I'm glad I own my house. When I got complaints about my grass being too tall, I killed it all and replaced it with (much taller) native flowering plants. And it turns out the city is on my side, because native plants are much better for the storm water runoff. Also, my neighbor sold their house around the same time, so I think they were just trying to bully everyone into increasing their curb appeal
