There used to be a thread like this but it was old as hell so I thought I'd revive it. Figured people could use a space to share good things that have happened to them lately, no matter how big or small. Even if you just want to share something positive, like a picture of your pet or to tell us about something you enjoy.
The only rules are:
If something makes you happy, that's great! ❤ Things are tough for most of us right now but there are still good things that are happening so let's focus on them for a little bit. :)
Your post doesn't have to be in spoilers, I just didn't want my thing to be focused on.

It's been a bit of a whirlwind month so far - I found a new job and finally got to quit my old one! The last few days have been a bit tough since I was finishing off my two weeks (really 1.5) at my old job and doing online training at my new one. My online training is done, my last day at my old job was yesterday and I've got 4 days off to chill before doing my in-restaurant training. :D
I have to say, it was very satisfying to walk into my old job and give them my two weeks lol A dream come true tbh. My new job is full time and I'll have benefits! Things are finally turning around for me a bit so I'm really thankful.
Grats on the new job!
My good thing is that my granddaughter and I FaceTimed last night (she is 12). She insisted on showing me all her new school supplies, and the outfit she picked out for her first day of 7th grade!
I live several hours away from her, and have only seen her rarely this past 18 months due to the pandemic. So it was nice to be included in her back to school preparations!
My packages from overseas arrived this week.! It's a long time coming, one of them was 3 months due, so it was quite a welcome surprise when they finally arrived. They're mostly pretty and shiny beads to use for cross stitch. I can finally use my pretty fabric on a pretty pattern.!
i got engaged recently, and met the now-fiancé's family! went way better than my anxiety brain led me to believe it would.
i found a yuri manga i had been looking for! it's called Doughnuts Under a Crescent Moon and it's really good, i'll definitely be buying more volumes!
Yesterday fiance and i went for a walk and ended up in some second hand shops. In one of them i found some coloring pencils and a miniature cup for pouring milk into your coffee or tea. It was part of a coffee set, but the place doesn't care if the sets are being separated [sadly}. I couldn't leave the shop without the miniature milk pourer -what is it called anyways? It made me really happy and i don't really have an use for it. i mean i CAN use it for the purpose i mentioned, but other than that...
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
Yesterday we got to visit with my husband's parents and it went really well. He's been missing them and we don't get to see them as often as we'd like. They live an hour away but we're also so busy with work and school. So having a few hours with them yesterday was so nice! He made lasagna and I made homemade garlic bread, and his mom brought a super yummy salad. It was a great day.
"i already am, i always was, and i still have time to be."
I got one of my dream jobs (library clerk)! I start training week after next! Would start sooner, but have to give 2 weeks notice of my resignation at my one job and 1 weeks notice of major availability changes at the other. So next week is crazy busy, but then I'll gradually transition to the new job. It doesn't have insurance, which is the only down side, but does pay more than both of my current jobs combined and I get sick pay and vacation time, which I haven't had in over 6 years.

I'm gonna be the "artist of the week" for my school next week! I'll get to show some of my pieces I'm most proud of! I'm usually not the type to be in the spotlight, but I do love to show my work to others!
In the last year I bought my own house, got full-time status at my job, and started a new relationship <3
<3 <3
It technically applies to me, but it's something good that happened with my partner!! He filed for worker's comp and has been working on the case with a couple pro bono lawyers since for about a year ago, last october/december ish.
Anyway we just learned a couple days ago that they won the case!! So we're really happy about that ;v;/
I got to meet up with my online friends over the weekend and we had a lot of fun! Was socially distanced and safe but it was still awesome to be able to hang out with them.
Shared one of my favorite interests with some of my friends recently and they enjoyed it too! it always makes me happy when I can share something special to me with others.
i waited on the waitlist for a fairyloot box subscription and finally got an invite a little while back. i got my first box in the mail yesterday! i'm really happy with it and i can't wait to see what the boxes have in the future.
fairyloot is a subscription box centered around books! you get a special edition version of a newly released book, with sprayed/stenciled edges. and then you get some art and other small things relating to that book, along with art and other small things relating to other books and things like that!! it's really cool if you're into reading and art, and like to collect special edition things!
A few days ago I got to go to a cool event with a friend (while maintaining our cities pandemic protocols which includes being fully vaccinated, masking in sports venues, and it's a small enough event that we were able to socially distance) where we got to skate on NHL ice, tour the home locker room and press box, have cheap snacks and drinks....it was a whole lot of fun. Definitely a good way to spend an afternoon.
