As someone who pays attention to birthdays, I've always found it odd that there are tons of pets with the birthday of June 5, 2011. I see this birthday come up more often than any other birthday. Heck, I even have one of my own!

Did something happen on that date that caused a lot of pets to be created then?

[Edit]Looking back over the news archive, it seems that xotls were released for the first time on June 3, 2011. If I read this correctly, it was at the end of a site event. Could that be related? (That still seems kinda odd to me, considering how unpopular xotls are these days.)

I've never noticed that. Funnily, several of my oldest pets are born June 6th, 2011, the day after you mention. But that's because it was back when GA's gave you more pet slots and I wanted to fill my slots before my GA ran out and the unfilled slots disappeared.

My memory is bad, but I don't remember anything happening the day before that.

Come to think of it, I've seen several June 6, 2011 dates as well.

But not June 4, 2011, so I'm thinking whatever happened, happened on the 5th.

I remember those "good old days" of trying to fill slots in between GA subscriptions... So glad they don't do that anymore!

I checked the News Archive and there seems to be nothing that would hint why on this day so many Pets were created. Mysterious indeed.

P.S.: I also don't have any Pets from June 2011 it seems so, whatever happened, didn't have an effect on me. I'm intrigued.

On 5/31/2011 there was a week of free GA time given to everyone who had logged in over the past month - could it be that a lot of users were filling up new/extra GA pet slots before their week was up?

june 6th 2011 was my marriage. i never made any pets on that day though
