I don't do much here these days but I still like making TCs and pets matching them. I've been clinging to a few pets for a while because of their names or IDs but they're just kinda stressing me out now tbh
anyway, the pets:
[user not found] Legacy Name: Earthling ID# 809361
[/box]
I might add more I dunno
I don't really have a process, but I don't really care what your plans are as long as you don't wipe the legacy name (after all, I could've just changed their name into something I want but I wanted to give some of y'all a chance to work with their legacies). I'll probably look at your pets n stuff but I don't want to drag this out too long- maybe a couple days at most to make sure people have a chance to express interest!
thank uuu # adopt

I'd love to adopt Earthling. I would definitely be keen to keep their legacy names and current species/colours as it, as they are already perfect in every way! :)
Earthling
Bowie has had a profound impact on me as a role model for creativity and courageous innovation throughout his career, so it's something that I'd like to honour. He was a beacon for helping many of us embrace the uniqueness of ourselves as earthlings - the weird and wonderful, the importance of self expression and radical imagination and relentless innovation.
I'm envisioning multiple arcs to the story of Earthling, interlinking some of the songs that Bowie has created:
Throughout his career, Bowie has expressed his fascination with space and humanity through his art, often playing with the idea of alienation and the fragility of humanity, as best examplified by his songs starting with Space Oddity in 1969 telling the story of an astronaut (Major Tom) who became lost in space (but also an analogy for something else more close to earth), Life on Mars in 1971, his persona as Ziggy Stardust in 1972-1973. He was also in the sci-fi film The Man Who Fell to Earth in 1976 which has eventually became a cult classic telling the story of an alien visiting earth to try to find a way to save life back on his home planet, and trying to blend in as an "Earthling" in the process but realising the futility of humanity due to earthly desires. In 1980 he returned to the saga of Major Tom in Ashes to Ashes who has gone derelict and slightly mad after drifting in space, and then once again exploring the concept of alienation in Loving the Alien (1983). Earthling the album that was released in 1997, is mostly experimental with industrial influences (Nine Inch Nails) and Drum n Bass. It contains the song Little Wonder which can be interpreted as alien observing aspects of the life on Earth (-2">ref).
The great thing is that there are different ways to interpret the rich tapestry of songs and art (sometimes surreal and avant garde) that he has created which provide rich and imaginative diamond mine of inspirations for Earthling's character and concept. In a way these characters reflect a microcosm of the greater macrocosm that is humanity itself - earthlings can be organic, enigmatic, and sometimes chaotic. The reality is - humans may be fleeting, but our legacy can live on forever, immortalised like the stars. We are all made of stardust, after all.
Sadly, I was born decades too late to ever see a live concert while he was still touring, but I was really fortunate to have the chance to visit the David Bowie Is exhibition while it was in Melbourne which provided so much insight into his life and creativity and added more dimensions for me on understanding the artist and the art.

decided to not apply for Architect as I would like to focus on and prioritise Earthling.
[sub]I also quite like the name Architect, although I haven't come up with a concrete concept yet. The idea I have in my mind at the moment is some kind of tribute to one of the most celebrated architects such as Frank Lloyd Wright. Will probably update this post once I do have a clearer idea...[/sub]
Thank you so much for the opportunity to consider, I'll be keen to add more details on my plans to support my application. ❤

💋💕 🌸🌻 💃🕺
Errrrr...I really don't want to do this, but I'm going to have to withdraw my applications. I just have too many pets and getting more right now would be stressful. Seems like you know what I mean!
[Spoiler=Spoilerception]Okay, I've slept now and had more time to think about it, and since you haven't made a decision yet, I'd like to flesh out my ideas more.
But first...About My Pets
If you look at my pets right now, it might not be obvious that I do anything with them. Truth is, grad school has really slowed down the creative process. But using it as an excuse for writer's block is not going to fly with me anymore, and I'm committing to work on one pet a week, even if I have to write their stories in Russian!!
What I have been doing, however, is training. I can spend hours and hours training and reading to the pets while I study by having something else read to me, so it's very convenient. Lately I've been working on getting my pets up to level 7. I have thus far succeeded with Catricia, Heidy, Tenere, Limn, Legend, and Coax. I'm currently leveling up Legere. Right now I'm not sure if I'm going to level up another pet or return back to Catricia and get her up a couple more levels (just in case of a battle event). But there will definitely be more training!
I also really enjoy creating overlays. IIRC, you actually helped me with Sapphire's. Other overlays that are wholly mine (for better or for worse) are Galyn, Farine, Eveille, Daisy, Come, Coax, Calm, Coda, Inspirational, and By. (The most recent of these are Come's and Calm's.)
And the last thing I do, which isn't productive but still a lot of fun for some reason, is stare at all my pets and come up with stories/characters/relationships for them. I'm writing the stories in my head; I just haven't been able to get them down on paper yet. Darn lack of time. Darn perfectionism. But I say darn to both of those and am going to start doing it anyway! I'll even put it in my habit tracker! XD
And now, back to your regularly scheduled applications. (Side note: I totally only expect to get one, if any, of these, but I love them both, so I'm going to put that decision completely in your hands.) Hood
Hood immediately inspired me because of his look and name as a sort of badass Little Red Riding Hood. That immediately sparked a story in my head that I can't ignore. If chosen, I will make Hood a she.
Hood's story starts out in the traditional "Little Red Riding Hood" way with a carefree little girl on her way to visit granny's, too young to really understand the dangers of the woods or heed her mother's warnings. By the time she gets to her grandmother's house, dear old granny has already been eaten, but in this version Little Red immediately recognizes the wolf. She runs out of the house and blindly runs through the forest until she comes to a dilapidated, abandoned-looking house in a clearing she's never seen before. Exhausted, she enters the house and barricades all the entrances so that the wolf cannot get at her.
What she doesn't know is that the wolf had leapt up to follow her as soon as she ran out of the house, and had he been free to do so, he would have very quickly caught up with her and devoured her whole. No more games for the hungry wolf! Unfortunately for him, he got all twisted up in the bed sheets and canopy curtains, and in his effort to free himself, he ended up hanging himself, making it worse by all his thrashing until he was dead. It was really a horrific sight for Little Red's mother to stumble upon later.
At dusk a group of odd-looking, shifty men enter the clearing and approach the house where Little Red has fallen asleep. They are perturbed to find out that all the entrances are blocked, but being burly men and not a little girl they are able to knock over her barricades rather easily. When they see her, sitting frightened in a corner, at first they decide to kill her so that she can tell no one of the hiding place of the League of Assassins. (They also figure it's a mercy killing, as she'll never make it alive through the woods.) However, when they hear her story, they change their minds, and they conscript her into their league as an assassin apprentice-slash-maid. They take her far away from the woods (assassins always have to keep on the move) and train her in street smarts, defense, and 138 ways to kill someone. She becomes hardened and develops only one goal: to return to the woods and kill the wolf that ate her grandmother and changed her life.
Returning to her childhood forest, she swears not to see her mother again until she can return triumphed with the wolf's dead body. She does, however, sneak up onto the farm to look at her mother. She finds that her mother has actually remarried (to the widowed woodsman who would have actually killed the wolf in the original story), and they have two children together: a boy and a girl. She sees how happy her mother is and feels hurt and replaced but still determined on her mission. (I'm kind of toying with the idea of sort of Hansel & Gretel thing here for the new kids, but I'm not sure how I can do that without making the mother look terrible.)
As she hunts in the woods for the wolf, she meets up with the woodsman's first son, who she had played with as a child. He has become a woodsman in his own right as well as an archer. He does not recognize her (she goes by a different name) but immediately crushes on her and vows to help her find the wolf. He knows that the wolf that killed her grandmother died a long time ago, but since he doesn't know who she is, he can't connect the dots to tell her. Eventually they find wolf tracks and follow them back to a wolf's den where a mother wolf is feeding her pups. One of the few rules the assassins had taught her is never to harm a child and never to harm a child's mother, so she now has to decide whether to break the rule or to leave her goal uncompleted. The woodsman's son, who has no such scruples and wants to impress his new friend, shoots the mother wolf, and she dies. The father wolf soon returns and Hood kills him, and the two take the young pups with them to raise.
Everything after that is kind of fuzzy. There are a lot of plot twists to be revealed, so I'll have to tangle those out. I do want to reconcile Hood and the woodsman's son with their family, but I'm not sure if that will actually be possible.
I'm inspired for this story by not only the "Little Red Riding Hood" tale, but also the superhero Black Widow and a book I read a long, long time ago (and have never been able to find since) where a little girl is kidnapped by misguided but lovable pirates. Hood will belong to my fairytale set of pets, which currently include Rises & Fades; Come, Coax, & Calm; and my little piggies Coda, Trill, Fermata, and Pizzicato.
Earthling
My idea for Earthling is completely different, and it has inspirations from The Fox and the Hound, Lilo & Stitch, Home, Mork & Mindy, and possibly the fable "The Lion and the Mouse." In my version Earthling will be male.
Earthling crash-lands on Lemonade's planet and immediately tries to find a way to blend in. The first being he comes across is Lemonade, and he latches on to her as an unofficial tour guide, thinking that she represents a pretty average citizen of her planet. He makes himself look like her, so I'd like to transform him into a scribble Experiment , which I think looks like a scribble scootle if one is near-sighted and not very good at this and also can't hide all their alien appendages.

There is never anything romantic between the two of them, but they do eventually become best friends. Earthling hides his identity at first, but after getting into a few adventures together, he trusts her with his secret. Earthling saves Lemonade from certain death when a chef tries to make her into escargot, and Lemonade saves Earthling when a bunch of people come at him with pitchforks and malintent. Eventually, they find a place in the jungle where they are safe from all - well, some - of the dangers out there and where they can get up to a bunch of shenanigans together.
Earthling is awkward and bumbling and he often has to scramble to keep his secret hidden from Lemonade. Fortunately, Lemonade is a little bumbly herself. Earthling is also fearful, but Lemonade gives him hope with her constant optimism and enthusiasm. I especially like Earthling for his birthday, which is so close to Lemonade's and makes them feel like a good pair.
Anyway, thanks for considering me, and good luck in your adoptions! :)
Previous Thoughts
I'd love to have Earthling! He seems the perfect fit for an idea I had with my pet Lemonade but with a twist. He'll be an alien who's come to (wherever) but who wants to fit in, and he meets up with Lemonade and basically latches onto her as his unofficial tour guide. Harmless hilarities ensue, especially since Lemonade is not a "typical" occupant of this world. In their shenanigans he always tries to hide the fact that he's other-worldly, but they keep getting closer and closer as friends, and his secret gets harder and harder to keep.
His birthday and training will make him a perfect fit with the rest of my pets. I'll keep his legacy name, though I'm toying with the idea of changing his actual name as a "disguise".
I'm kinda torn in applying for him because Hood gave me a fantastic idea of a Little Red character that I want to run away with. However, Earthling checks more boxes and I just really want Lemonade to have a friend.
[Edit]Aw, what the heck. I'll share my idea for Hood too, just in case you'd like Earthling to go to someone else.
I'm imagining Hood as a sort of Little Red/Black Widow combo character. She's what would have happened if Little Red had recognized the wolf in her grandmother's clothing immediately and run away, only to be kidnapped/adopted by a group of cutthroat (but lovable!) assassins. She learns how to defend herself, gains street smarts, and is trained to kill a man in 138 different ways. She returns to the woods with the main goal of killing the wolf. I kinda think there will be a love interest in there too - the woodsman's son, who is a grown archer and woodsman in his own right when she returns.
I want to flesh out their stories more, but it is time for me to go to bed and I'm barely awake. Anyway, thanks for considering me for either one! [/spoiler]
I dont really do a lot with my pets besides collect 'em but if no one else comes along for Hood I'd like having that legacy name 😊

Just wanted to drop by and say you have lovely pets. :) Love [user not found]'s page. <3
I would like to adop Hood and keep his name (: I want to make him a fairytale character who tells the stories as if he has lived them (like the robin hood, little red and such).
Currently I'm working on all my pets and recenly one of them has won the spotlight.
holy cannoli i am absolutely interested in Hood 👀 i have several venues i could take with them, but the one that stands out to me is a teenager that basically lives on the street and makes really beautiful graffiti art but signs it "hood" so nobody knows who it actually is.
you can see by my other pets that i've got ideas for most of them, and some are close to completion, my closest i think being Invader! i would be tempted to ask for earthling too to pair with invader, but i don't want to be greedy ;u;
also i will keep my peepers peeled if you decide to adopt out any more! <3
I don't do much with my pets besides horde TC stuff and have stories in my mind about them. I'd really like to adopt Architect for my ongoing D&D campaign story though. I think it's an excellent name to fit that worldbuilding mood.
"When you linger nostalgically on your past, that pain you feel in your chest is the exit wound of time." - WTNV
i am very interested in Earthling! my account was made in 2020 but i've only been playing for about a month now (26 consecutive bath house visits ftw!) i've recently been focusing really hard on battling and it'd be nice to have a pet with nice stats to build up <3 i have no interest in changing the name and don't see myself zapping or changing it's color either. thank you so much for the opportunity!
RW?
Do you have a rare item that just won't sell? Are you going through the high levels of Item Hunt? Or maybe you just HATE that blue bunny? Then you should join IHH helpers and IHH bargain in the forum groups!
I am super interested in Architect!
I am on [sub]a 95%[/sub] hiatus from Subeta right now for health reasons - both physical and mental - and I'm not really intending on being active again until September or October. (When the weather starts to cool down here essentially... It's not my only problem but I'm always a hot mess - literally - when the temperatures are above 90 degrees...) I'm still working offline on my pets' concepts and characters though.
My idea is to tie Architect in with District, Domain, Estate, and Realm or Loyalty, Notoriety, Opulence, and Squalor. In either case, he would be an actual architect, but he also moonlights as a bit of a meddling matchmaker. LOL I would be keeping the legacy name.
Oh, I'd love to adopt Hood. My most complete pet is Overcoat (my one spotlight winner!) and I think they'd make a great pair of monsters. I adopted Overcoat on the condition I never change his name even before legacy name changes were a thing, so I feel a kinship between them. Hood would be a creature of the fields and wood copses, with a name that nobody knows the origins of. This one is probably less straightforward than Overcoat; sometimes Hood might help a hapless traveler find the path again, sometimes Hood might lead them deeper into the woods, never to be heard of again.
I haven't been able to update my profile due to site glitches so a couple pets I no longer own are listed there (Ashelia and Wholeheartedly), otherwise it's all accurate if you'd like to browse!
Hood initially caught my eye (as that was the name I was originally after when I made Kapiushon), but I'm actually drawn to Earthling. I see Earthling being an alien who dreams of visiting Earth and joining in with the locals. As a result, he was able (somehow) to form into a star and spends his nights staring down at the world he would love to be a part of.
Most of my pet stories develop / veer off on a tangent as I write them, so there's potential for that idea to change pretty wildly 😊
All of my pets (eventually) get a story, profile, treasure & most get a suitable minion.... my eventual aim is for all of them to be spotlight-worthy, which is keeping me busy! If you want to check out a couple of my pets, my battler is Lorna, Kosmo is my gourmand, and a couple of my completed pets are Sid, kanis and Reducto

I'd love to throw my hat in for Hood! I'm thinking a twisted almost "Alice in wonderland" vibe Little Red Riding hood! (Maybe Purple or Blue instead?) I love writing horror or characters with an unpleasant twist in the end, and I think a Little Red that hunts you akin to the wolf that hunts her would be interesting. She's not tryna kill you. She just wants to drive you crazy.
You can never see her if you look directly at her, but only out the corner of your eye. Don't call out to her, don't look for her, don't speak to her. If you do you start hearing a small child's voice echoing around you. (For some reason those lyrics "If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise..." just entered my mind lmao.)
Some of my prides and joys:
I have 2 spotlight winner pets (please excuse their profiles, they broke. D: ): Luvoli Adamantium
5 currently completely done pets: Ouiji Karu Young Link Oddi Milano
5 pets nearing completion (just missing 1 or 2 things such as stories and/or profiles!): Iori Deku Link Sob Shortie Viscid Mono Lukis
And 4 pets with MASSIVE TCs (and I'm not done cause I have no self control): Shame - Alcohol Shortie - Cakes and Baked goods Hazell - Flowers/Garden Stuff Elu - Books
And several with characters written down and just not put on site yet!
"We're reaching levels of stupidity that shouldn't be possible."
Hood's new owner has been notified, thank you all for your time and applications!
Still deliberating on other pets- the friends system is broken I guess so I'm stuck with these pets for now anyway :')
thank uuu <3

Friends system is fixed now, I believe! I’d love to throw in for a chance at adopting Siren (Maypole). I am wanting to design a little fruit bat pet. I’d get an overlay designed based off these cute Esther fruit bat items. I’ve been wanting a lil bat pet for a while and her name seems cute for the character.

Feel free to check out my pets. Many are works in progress, but here are some completed ones. Yunnan Lana Hiroka Shengui Rissa

I have a huge collection of Dragon Age themed pets I am working on and I would LOVE to add Architect to that list! I get overlays for all my pets, and I make sure they have amazing profiles and TCs to go with them. I would love the chance to adopt Architect to help complete my Dragon Age world.
I also have another spotlight winner, but I adopted her that way: Nessa du Loche
