As the title says, the subscribe page is horribly oversized currently. The entire checkmark is the size of the screen on my end. -lol- I went to go check on what date mine renews on and I can't really read anything.
@blackwolf_2009 you can make your screen size smaller

The images on the subscription page are still massively oversized, and makes it impossible to cancel or start a subscription on mobile, which is probably not a good thing?
EDIT: My lazy ass forgot all the rules of problem reports. iOS 14.5.1, Firefox Daylight 35.0. Web is Firefox 89.0.2, Chrome 92.0.4515.107. The web versions are fully usable though, the buttons do show up when I zoom out.
Already posted in the news and Discord, but yes, this is still a thing that's happening, and, no, resizing the window does NOT resolve the issue. Nor does changing the screen resolution settings: I went from 1920 x 1080 all the way down to 1024 x 768, and while that did allow me to read a little bit of the text pushed off to the side, the checkmarks were still insanely oversized compared to the rest of the graphics and text onscreen. Using the browser's zoom function to zoom out made the checkmarks smaller, but also made the text far too small to read.
Using the latest version of Firefox on Windows 10, not on mobile.
Same here, all I can see are the giant check marks. Using the latest version of firefox on MacOS Mojave 10.14.6
can you zoom out?

I said in my post that I already tried that. It didn't work.
i thought you meant on a computer that's why i mentioned making the screen smaller. zoom out is meaning by the phone sorry

This is what the subscribe page looks like WHILE zoomed out as far as possible in a browser

The sign up buttons are present and clickable, so I assume the cancel buttons would be too and just a matter of trying to actually find the button, but it's absolutely not ideal for anyone looking to cancel a plan
@/PiinkSparkles The new subeta page auto resizes itself to fit your screen on mobile, so there's no zooming out on phone. The oversized checkmarks just overflowed the edges of the site border while the page remained the same size - at least on my phone, idk about others.
But anywho - the giant checkmarks are gone now so I guess they're fixing it, thank you staff! EDIT: or not? They're gone on my phone but still there on computer... weird >_>
@blackwolf_2009
I'm seeing the huge checkmarks in Firefox, but not Chrome. Can anyone else confirm? Are there other browsers that show it still?
There are no checkmarks in Brave or Edge, just a list of the perks
Hey all - this is going to take some more work, but for now, I fixed the page layout and removed those giant icons. That way, it's at least viewable and more usable in the meantime.

The subscribe page is back to normal in Chrome and FireFox, both mobile and desktop versions! Thanks for your hard work!
(ngl I am hardcore wondering why the checkmarks went huge because it was so random and hilarious, even after the annoyance of navigating the page)
Hahaha, sure thing. Basically, it is because when we first started working on V2, we used a UI library called Tailwind CSS (external link). The subscriptions page was built using those classes.
At some point, we decided to use Chakra UI (external link) instead, because it ended up being better for our use case, and even provides out-of-the-box support for some things we want such as dark mode.
So, we had to take everything in Tailwind, and rewrite it using Chakra instead. Now here is the embarrassing part. I didn't realize that I didn't fully finish doing this to the subscriptions page, in part because those icons were made out of svg elements and were using Tailwind classes, which was subtle enough I totally overlooked it. So when we finally removed Tailwind from the code altogether - since we thought nothing was using it anymore - that's when all the icons broke.
So for now, I've removed them and tried to clean up any other Tailwind relics in that file. At some point, we'll replace them with Chakra icons :)

LOL the infinite joys of upgrading the site and having the most random of things break on you. ð hope the rest of your work goes smoothly!
It's still donked up on mobile. Each subscription is a vertical line of text and they're stacked together running down the page.
