I've been releasing CWs for a few months now and have tried out several methods to see what I like and can handle. However, since one of the the most fun part of the experience is sharing the items I commission once they are onsite, I would like to hear what you like and prefer as well ❤
[box=#FDFFBC]For reference, here are the release methods/styles that I have tried vs not tried with my releases so far:
Unlimited Quanity for Limited Time ✔ Holiday/Event ✔ Short (less than 1 week) ✔ Medium (1 week to 1 month) ❌ Long (longer than 1 month)
Specified Quantity Stocked ✔ Small (1-5 stocked) ✔ Medium (6-20 stocked) ❌ Large (more than 20 stocked) ✔ No Restock (leave SOLD OUT indefinitely) ✔ Small Restock (1-5 copies restocked) ❌ Big Restock (more than 5 copies restocked)
Other ❌ Unlimited Indefinitely ❌ Private or Friend-Only ❌ Group or Follower Exclusive ❌ Hard Caps or Permanent Retirements
If you have no preference, that would be helpful for me to know as well :)[/box]
Feel free to comment on other release variables (ex: number of items released at once, etc.) if you'd like.
As always, thank you for all of your support ❤
I like unlimited for a certain amount of time, but not permanently retired after that. Or released with a decent quantity (20ish).
Or whatever. :D

i prefer these:
I like the small restock option personally, especially if the item isn't going to have a lot of copies on site (and 'a lot of copies' to me is maybe in the 20-30 range depending on the type of item). I'm ok with things being limited- I admit, if I'm going to pick between two CWs that are at the same priority level for me, I usually go with the limited one so it won't be sold out by the time I'm ready to buy again. But it gets frustrating to see a perfect-fit newly released item already sold out and retired right away. And sometimes that's going to happen anyways- super popular items do disappear fast sometimes and that's just the way it goes. But I think the small batch release is a good balance that enough people get a chance at the item if they want it (or aren't available to buy it within the few hours after it the hour it comes out), but makes it limited enough that it can retain value long term.
Disclaimer: I haven't released any CWs myself, or sold any that I can recall because I get too attached- so this opinion comes from a place of using CSC or vouchers to get CWs.

if one of the most fun parts of the experience for you is sharing the items you commission, you are going to need to try all of those things with the crosses next to them to see if you enjoy that experience.
For me as a buyer, of course it's easier for me to buy what I want, when I want. For you as a seller, it might be more fun to have the items sell quickly in a short time and having your items be much desired, or it might be more fun to allow as many people as possible to have the items you've commissioned. Until you've tried all the methods, you will not know which method makes you the happiest.
I definitely prefer some type of unlimited and items not retiring permanently. I most often get CWs once a month when my subscription renews, but during sales and stuff I may buy more. I find it really frustrating when items have extremely short limited releases before being permanently retired (or even just being retired for a long time, as I won't remember them).
I will note that I'm definitely a much more casual CW customer. I tend to stalk certain items all month waiting for my subscription to renew to get those specific ones.
