i absolutely do not know any site etiquette so hi ig.

im having trouble editing my profile and figuring out how to edit certain aspects of it, specifically my name (NOT username) and interests. every time i try and edit my name from the menu (along with my profile text) whatever i inputted doesnt save. the only thing that seems to be saving at all are my gender settings. and i literally dont know HOW to change anything other than my name, gender, email, and profile blurb because no other options show up.

i dont know if ive missed a very obvious guide as it it currently 2 in the morning while im struggling with this so help or linking me to an elusive guide would be much appreciated. thanks! also im sorry if this is incoherent or unclear! adhd coupled with tiredness doesnt do wonders.

I know that the interests block doesn't work anymore, so you can't edit that. And I think you have to change your name on the profile page, not the actual profile. Here's the link to that! https://subeta.net/preferences.php?act=profile

Thank you for telling me about the interests block! I was probably going to drive myself insane trying to edit that without knowing it wasn't functional.

And I have been trying to change my name on the aforementioned profile page, but it never saves when I click the button (same with the actual profile blurb thing).

There seems to be a bug right now where we can't save profiles or forum signatures. Someone reported it here, and we're waiting for a staff response: Unable to update forum signature and user profile

I already posted this on the other thread, but I was having the same issue just now. I found a work-around; if you add the "profile" widget, you can edit your code from there. 😊
