Congratulations on your Subeta Anniversary !

Friends I wanted to let everyone know why I haven't been around much. My parents had a bad car accident back on April 5th. There have been lot's of medical issues with my mother who fractured her sternum and 3 ribs. My dad didn't get hurt, thank goodness. My mom ended up having to go back to the hospital 10 days later with medical issues related to the accident. There has been some legal things I needed to take care of and arranging for in home care for them until she gets better.

My son was having a outpatient surgery last Monday, May 24th. Unfortunately that went way wrong. The surgical team mixed up the medications and gave the surgeon the wrong drug and she pushed it. It caused my son's heart rate to go up and become erratic. They thought they had it under control and she made the first incision to correct his deviated septum. His heart rate went up again and he coded. They had to preform CPR and finally had to shock him. He was gone from this world for just under 4 minutes. They rushed him to the hospital and immediately put him in an induced coma and started icing his body to protect brain function. He was in this coma from Monday afternoon until Wednesday. Tuesday night his heart rate went down to 20 bpm and would jump suddenly to 70 and it did this back and forth. They had to start warming him earlier than the 24 hours they wanted to keep his body at 93 or below due to his heart rate going so low. So they started slowly warming him back up. He finally came out of the coma on Wednesday morning around 7 a.m. and thank God he was able to remember us all and even remembered me taking him to the surgery Monday morning.

His heart was compromised and is only now at 70% functioning but the hospital expects that to correct itself over the next few weeks. He does have some mental trauma as he still thought it was Monday, is struggling as to why this happened to him, how it could have happened, how he lost almost two days and some of the dreams he had while in the coma. He has asked me lot's of questions and told me things he remembered while in the coma. He was able to hear us at times but did not necessarily know who it was but could hear what was being said. There will legalities in the upcoming weeks, so I may not be around as much as I would like on Subeta. I just wanted you all to know why I had not been participating much as of late.

Oh what a terrible experiences to have one right after the other. I will be praying for your mother and son, as well as for you and your family as I know you must all be pretty overwhelmed and stressed out right now. I pray you'll all find the peace and comfort, and healing you each need and lean on the One who can provide it for you. I apologize I have not been around much myself since the end of last year. 2021 kind of took off and went crazy for me and my husband. First my niece moved in with us and then I've been having to have leg surgeries to correct some issues found while I was in the hospital in December, on top of having to be in the hospital in May. However things are looking up and I am finally to the end of the road on my leg surgeries, the last one being this Friday, my 17th wedding anniversary of all days lol. But I am trying to stay in good spirits and while I am not messaging here much I am around doing things on site. Miss talking with you all and hoping life is going great for you all! hugs

you never have to apologize here for being away for a stretch. Life happens and we understand that. It's good to hear from you. I'm so sorry you've had such a rough time. I pray the surgery on Friday will be a complete success and your leg will be fine. You'll have to have a very special anniversary celebration when you're feeling fit as a fiddle. Congratulations to you and your husband on your 17th anniversary. God bless you both with many, many more great years together.
