When I choose a hair I definitely own (e.g. "Royal") and edit the hex colors and then click on "Add to Avatar", the hair doesn't pop up on my avatar - it doesn't load/update. Am I doing something wrong or is the Hair Salon bugged?

For what its worth - I think the beta salon that is linked to in that post does work, though its been a week or two since I've tried it. [edit] Oop, nvm, I just tried to look at it, and it might not be functional atm. Hopefully it gets looked at soon! :)

sadly the beta salon linked doesn't work for me. But I'll try again in a few days, after all it is a beta salon so I guess it is actively being worked on

If you have a working hair salon (i.e. it actually loads for you), then you can try adding the hair to a naked HA, then dress it. That sometimes works. I've found though, that I have to get everything right, because as soon as I try to change the hair after I've added it to the HA it can mess up. In mine, when I add highlights -6, they don't show up in the preview, but once added to the HA and I hit the "wear" button, they do show up. So it can be pretty hit and miss how the final hair looks.
