Have we ever failed questathon? My brother is saying yes but I don't recall
I don't think we ever failed it, but we needed extra time in 2018 for sure, and were extremely close to not making it in 2017.
Like Sopheroo said we came close to failing one time because back then we had users doing the minimal of 1 quest then not touching them until the event ended. I think it should extend to having to do at least 10 quests to attain prizes as there are users who DO every available quest all the time. Maybe next time they can break it down into tiers and you have to complete x amount to get the pet slot rather than just 1 quest.
FINALLY GOT THE 15K WARDROBE DONE!!!!! Next up gutting and selling it.
, Thank you both. This is what I remembered, too. Also, that would be really good to encourage people to do more than the 1 minimum
There isn't really a need for that, because we easily got the goal for the 2020 quest-a-thon - we even doubled the original goal by doing over 2 million quests in the given period.
I think we only made the goal so easily because they had a special prize for the top-whatever people. Even that was a huuuuge issue for the “I must have everything for nothing” crowd, lots of people complained about it.
If they were to cave and do away with an exclusive prize, or rehash the same prize for top-whatever as last year just so people have a “fair chance” at it, I don’t think we will have the same success. I mean look at how many people have already complained about not having the Masquerade borders after only 24 hours.
All this to say, if it comes down to it, it would make a lot of sense to at least require people to finish just one day of one quest giver to get the participation prize.
