[-Winks] these currencies poof randomly out of thin air when you dance with another user. The person you dance with gets some and you get some. You can go to the special forum for the masquerade to do this. You can also privately invite other users to dance using sCode.

There are some groups of foods that have Achievements attached, and some of these do come from the Libertine Lounge. Some users also feed all the unique foods that they can to their pets for other Achievements that are not LL-specific.

This list is not comprehensive, I may have missed some. You should also make sure none of them have the "retired" tag before you start buying items for it. If you paste the achievement name into the search box on the achievement page you should be able to work out what you need to complete each one.

Also strongly recommend doing the Mystery Dance every 10 minutes. The rewards are great and its completely separate from regular dancing so you can do both.
