I've been trying for some time to get the black fox-ish experiment pet, and I wanted to make sure there was nothing specific that I had do to to obtain it other than the usual random zapping. Does it require anything that may be preventing me from getting it? Or just good ol' luck of the draw?

Nope you can try from a Experimental Dew or the Zapper

The grass-camel experiment can be gotten in a predictable way. All the other experiments are good ol' luck of the draw.

I zapped 3 or 4 times before I got impatient and used . It took 44 of them but they can be used one after the other instead of waiting for zap cooldown. The experiment only zap option cost 400k so I bought these when they were under 400k if you wanted to keep watch for price drops. They can also be gotten for free from the daily bathhouse.

No problem! It definitely is a lot more expensive than the experimental dews, so I'd suggest those first haha unless you're extremely unlucky >_>
