I decided to toss my pet in the rift today for the first time, just to see what would happen. Now my poor друг is gone! Will he ever come back? Or should I start planning the wake?

Don't worry, your pet will come back in a few days! However, it will be transformed. Depending on what species your pet was, it will either come back as Riftborn (you can see what they look like here) or, if the pet doesn't come in the Riftborn color yet, it will turn into one of two Riftborn creatures, RA-001 or RA-002.
