The plushie collection page says that there are 4,666 available plushies.

Huh...I just spend some time counting.

I have 4219 plushies in my collection. I confirmed this by physically counting from this page: https://subeta.net/collections.php/plushie/view/124125/20

Each page displays 216 plushies. There are 19 complete pages, for a subtotal of 4104. The final page, twenty, has 115 plushies on it. For a total of 4219 plushies.

So, total plushies 4666-4219 (owned) = 447. This is the number of plushies that should be displayed on the "Show missing plushies page" https://subeta.net/collections.php/plushie/view/124125/1?show=true

However when I count that page, 432 (two complete pages)+16 (plushies on the last page) I get 448.

Conclusion: There are not 4666 plushies, there are 4667!

I also compared the lists on SubetaLodge (which does actually list 4667 plushies) and didn't find an extra plushie anywhere.

[edit] LOL I just checked the item directory, typed plushie for item type and checked show spoilers, for a total of 4665!

[edit] More research. The item is no longer listed as a plushie. I checked in my inventory, clicked on it with no option to add to my plushie collection (and nothing that says its in my plushie collection). Account search does not show it in my plushie collection either. However, it does show up in my plushie collection. Its on this page: https://subeta.net/collections.php/plushie/view/124125/14

So that seems to be the extra plushie.

The other plushie that doesn't show up in the item directory is the , but unlike the balloon, the item description does show it as a plushie even though it doesn't show up on the list.

Wow, thank you for all of the research and detail!! I wonder why the no longer has the plushie option? It seems weird to un-make something a plushie. I guess all of the users at the top of the HS list must have that one in their collection.

Many years ago, in the distant past, plushies used to be toys. Then staff decided that plushies shouldn't be toys. Then there were items that were called "plush" rather than plushie and staff wanted to change most of those to be plushie for consistency. Somewhere along the line minds got changed as to what should be a toy, a plushie for the collection, and keeping things consistent. So the balloon ended up a toy, not a plushie, probably 'cause most of the other balloons on site were toys and wearables.

I did vaguely remember there was some item that used to be a plushie, but couldn't remember exactly which one. I thought it might be one of the fruit plushies, but I think that was an issue on the food list, not the plushie list.

And the reason SubetaLodge lists 4667 plushies is because that balloon plushie is still listed as a plushie, with a note about it not being a plushie here.

Ah, so it was one or the other and this got caught in the crossfire... This is sooooo going to bother me >.<
