I just wanted to make an appreciation post to say thank you staff for the new stage progression rate times! I am simply loving it! I also love the fact that everyone has the same rate of change. Every stage progression is 8 hours and it makes it so much easier to plan out what skins to get this way. I really do hope it stays this way and it is not just this year.

I think everyone having the same rate of progression is easier on the site servers as well.

I agree that this should be something that continues in future years of survival. Though hopefully having the skin wardrobe glitch doesn't occur again....part of me worries that it was a side effect of the new progression rate.

I like how easy this makes it for me to get more skins this year (even though I'm still prioritising the ones that I either like or just think will be easier to dress), usually I only manage to get about 4 but this year I'm already on my 4th (although the first one didn't unlock so I'll either get that again or use that as my free unlock at the end, and the second one was a vial which is shorter). I hope this continues next year so I can get through all the skins I would like to have and then maybe even work on the ones that are harder to dress in case I ever come up with ideas for them.

Wait, the original time was 12-15 hours, correct?

And does this time of progression change apply to only newer skins?

They used to be around 14-16hrs each. The new progression times (~7.5-8.5hrs) appear to be for all skins old and new!

I'm just wondering about that "free skin" - will we just be able to pick a skin and get it in the wardrobe? Or will it interfere with the final skin we happen to be working on?

We're going to be getting a free unlock of a 2021 skin. ('cause they were the only ones glitching from what I understand) It's not supposed to mess with any strains in progress, just an unlocking of the skin in the wardrobe.

Also absolutely loving the faster progressions implemented this year. It's been great; there are just so many skins that we can get now & being able to unlock more each year is just delightful~ ❤️ In previous years, I could maybe get 5 done, (if I was very careful about the times!) usually 4 &, each year, 4 more would be added. There was no good way to get ahead of it! I know that there's no real reason to unlock skins, but I still like to do it. haha.

This year though? I've managed to get SEVEN SKINS unlocked. [sub](well, counting the one I just got started it's seven BUT not counting the one we'll get to choose for free.)[/sub]

I now have pretty much every underrepresented biter skin unlocked & try to make the time to bite people every year. Just so thrilled to be able to better help out people in the future by biting them for what they want, even when it's an ugly skin. ;D

Throwing my love of the faster progression times into the ring too. I was able to get quite a few this year (6? I think? 7?). A few of those were older skins which will help next year as there doesn't seem to be as many biters for many of the older strains. I'd love if these shorter progression times stuck around in future years.

I love the faster progression times too! Last year, I got 4 skins. This year, I got about 8 skins + the one that's progressing right now + the 2021 skin I'll (hopefully) be able to choose for free. I really hope the new times come back next year. Thanks Staff!

Is the free skin happening today? They said it would be on the last day and that's passed, would have been nice to let us know about the delay.

I'm happy to wait. I'm still progressing my final skin and though they say it won't interfere, you never know if a glitch might happen when adding the free skin.
