I was playing 2048 yesterday and it was making me nauseous. Its blurring the images every time tiles join together. Is this a new effect? I just got a new computer, so its possible that my old computer simply didn't "see" this blur because of an older browser or something. I tried to screen grab an image, but the blur doesn't show up quite as strongly in the image since its really hard to grab an image at exactly the right moment.

So is this new, or just something I was never subjected to because of older browser?

I don't usually play 2048 but I don't recall seeing the blur like that ever before (I did play for Major Drills sometime in the past month or two, but I don't do his quests often either, so). I am seeing it today though

The blur does make it look like the images aren't fully loaded, maybe it could be something to do with how theyre not saved in your cache yet? Maybe try again a few times? I'm not sure how long you tried to play.

I don't think its a cache issue. I played several games for Drills the other day and it kept doing the blur throughout. I also had to play a fair bit to get a decent image since it was really hard timing the screen grab exactly right. The effect is constant and consistent.

Thanks! I've played it a fair bit, both for drills and just for fun. I know it wasn't happening before my computer died because the nausea was pretty intense, its not something I would have failed to notice. LOL now I'm wondering if its a deliberate effect or something that was affected by fixing something else.

Hmm that definitely sounds frustrating. I would class it as a bug though, since not everyone is getting it (I think)

I can also see a bit of a blur during the transition... I don't know that it's any worse for me than usual (image transitions always seem to make me a little queasy so I seldom play that game) but if there is a speed issue (on either end), that could make it worse.

I play 2048 regularly because I do Major Drills every day and I've never gotten any blur. The most issues I have are that occasionally there's lag in the tiles updating after I join them
