Since last Friday-ish?, I believe, the site has been having some tremendous lag. At first I thought it would only last a short time, but it hasn't shown any sign of letting up. If anything, it's gotten worse. There was even a short period of time when I couldn't access the site at all.

It doesn't make a lot of sense considering the fact that it's not a holiday period and there aren't a whole lot of people on right now. I would file a problem & bug report, but I feel like there's no way staff don't know it's happening.

I'm hoping that maybe staff can shed light on what's been happening? Maybe an eta on when it can be fixed? I find I can be a lot more patient if I know there's a light at the end of the tunnel. :)

They are for sure aware of it; you can see some discussion about this and updates from here. Says he added some servers and like, optimized their spin-ups I guess. But, like you, I'm still experiencing quite a bit of lag and wondering why it's still a problem when he speaks as if the problem has been resolved. Maybe they are testing stuff for upcoming events? Just conjecture.

Edit: Oh and they said they weren't aware of it until reports came in because for whatever reason, the issues didn't present themselves on the staff accounts (maybe need to go back a page to read about the whole thing). Weird but yeah, I guess it's always worth reporting issues!

Thanks for the link! I imagine either they just worked on something or it's getting worse, because I just had a huge chunk of time when I couldn't get to the website - the circle just kept on spinning.

Yeah, questing has.. not been fun the past few days. I thought it was just me, but it was only on subeta.

I think that the laggiest I got today was when doing Wizard Quests - other quests (Sarah, Pete, Alexander, Cursed and Quentin) handled fine. I did them around 11:30 to 11:45 today.

I usually have 5-25 items in my inventory.

Using Google Chrome on Windows 7.

Wizard Quests are slow.. it took 51 seconds to complete one quest just now. Which should be faster for something like 6 clicks on a page.

I have 14 items in my inventory. 407 users online. Using Chrome on Windows 10. Lag has been happening since last Friday. I also have been experiencing lag on the news page.

One thing that's really lagging are the item popups. Takes around 10 seconds at its worst.

The lag is not just limited to certain places or things on here. I am on Chrome and using windows 10. The lag shows up in battles, quests, just trying to navigate the site. You can have a few clicks and the site is working great and then all of a sudden the lag sets in. This is kind of a lather- rinse-repeat issue. For a few minutes they site will work normally and then really bad lag and it is happening through out the whole site.

Unlike some of the others, I haven't noticed a difference among the different questers as to whether there was lag or not. I've been getting lag while questing (both on the questers' pages and while buying things), while restocking at the Book Nook (both at the store and in my inventory), while training my pets, while refreshing at the pound, while playing with the mallarchy pond, and while posting on the forums and comments. So...basically all my activity on Subeta. XD

Usually my inventory is empty (except a few items locked), except when I'm questing in which case I deal with the inventory at the end. But this seems to happen whethere there are things in my inventory or not.

I use Windows 10, Chrome, which I just checked and it is up to date. I also use Chrome on my Android phone - I don't know if I've noticed lag there too, but that's mostly just for checking the pound, visiting the mallarchy pond, and checking the forums.

The worst time thus far was around 4:45-5:30 last night (actually, I think that would be 6:45-7:30 Subeta time) when I was trying to put my pets in training and then the page just kept loading (circle circling) without actually loading. I tried refreshing the pound tab - same deal. I even tried stopping both of those after a while and coming to subeta.net from a fresh tab, and the same thing happened. The only thing that seemed to work was when I closed the forum tab - then everything loaded as it should. I'm not sure if that was a factor or just a coincidence.

[Edit]I just tried to edit this post at 2:14 and got a lag for it to update and for the pound to refresh at the same time (I started refreshing the pound after the lag on this page - it's kinda a reflex whenever I'm waiting for something).

It took 45 seconds to load a quest and my inventory.

Usually happens near reset, for me, before and after. I thought it was last-minute questers, but then it happened in the forums too and the shoutbox...

I've had some issues, too. I use Firefox and have Windows 10 on my comp. My issues involved loading slowly every time I move to a new page. Doesn't seem as bad today, though.

The lag seems to come and go but when it hits... it hits hard... though not enough to crash the site... -knock on wood- but still... Just something I've noticed. No matter what I use, tablet or laptop the lag is pretty bad on both.

Yep. Device doesn’t seem to matter that much. Took 32! Seconds to start a quest. 830 am going to use dev tools on my computer to see if I get an error message to share.

It seems to get hung up a little with item hovers, specifically my network tab on the dev tools showed the one with item id 133552)

Yep I experience the same issue.

I am online on europe times. so 1 PM to 6 AMish. Chrome, windows 10. Also having the issue on safari newest ios. And it happens every part of the day. Some moments it is super speedy and fine and than WHOOP slow as a slug.

And to what extent are the staff members playing the site like an average user? Just wondering, because for me, it's impossible to not encounter this severe lag when trying to do daily activities like quests. So much lag and delay today at 4:20 pm for example.

I cannot speak for others but I regularly restock and do other things on the site. I have not gotten the bad lag like others. But again that is just me.

I am playing on Chrome with Windows 10. I have not been doing much on here for the last week because of the lag. I just keep coming back everyday hoping it will be better. I would love to be able to get back to questing and fragging so my tokens and crystal stashes do not get too low but not the way the site is acting. I really hope this is resolved before survival. crosses fingers

EDIT: I decided to try a few quests(just the ones for shinwa so far) and didnt get any lag. I did get lag when I was training my pets. Seemed like everytime I would click the Back to the Training Center link it would take me to a blank screen and I would have to click the back button and then try again a couple of times before it would take me back. This happened several times. I did not seem to get any lag when I was collecting my pets job incomes. I will try some more things around the site and see what gives me lag and what doesn't. I had lag when playing Scratchcards. No lag when turning in 5 Mage Amulets.

EDIT Trained my pets again and got the same lag from that. Always when I hit either the Back to Training center link or Add an Alert link. Did some questing and had very minimal lag with that so far. More lag with Scratchcards. Lag with fragmenting(just 10 items)
