Okay I find it really weird this is a huge source of income for the site and I can’t find a FAQ about it anywhere and there’s not much info on the page itself ???

I had a subscription previously and cancelled, and would like to reactivate it and have no idea how to do this as the subscription page just shows me in red that my previous one is cancelled. Can you only subscribe once in x months or something? I also previously found it kind of confusing about how to cancel and what would happen if I did, I really recommend that staff put some more info or link to a FAQ on the subscriptions page!

when did you cancel your subscription? the subscription period is one month, so you need to wait for the subscription to end so you can re-subscribe.

gave you the answer that most of us can think of. I don't see a thread in Problems & Bugs, so it's probably not a general problem that other people are having, or you are the first to write about it. [edit] Corrected by Staff, below. It was a glitch.

You are having a problem specific to you that you will need to file a Ticket in Help about.

If you want to make recommendations, there is a subform called Suggestions. You can make a thread about it there.

Hey so - in this case, it was a glitch on the subscription page introduced a few days ago, on Thursday or Friday, when I was actually making other fixes/improvements to the page. I've deployed a fix, so it should be working correctly now!

For future reference, please file a ticket if you have any problems with your subscription. This ensures your privacy in case sensitive information, such as financial transactions, are involved. In this case, it was simply a problem with the JavaScript on the webpage, so no private data was involved, but it is best to make tickets anyway since we don't know how much private info could be involved until it is investigated.

I think adding an FAQ is a good idea! What would be most helpful to clarify in a subscriptions FAQ?

Several questions I've seen come up wrt subscriptions:

  • Do we have to give away the Buddy account right away?
  • Do we have to use or lose the cw vouchers?
  • How do I know how many vouchers/buddy accounts I have?
  • How do I give away buddy accounts?
  • Can I sell buddy accounts for sp/csc if I don't have friends?
  • cancelling because I want to get the the item asap when its released.
  • cancelling because I want to synchronize with my payday.
  • getting a repeat special item

There are probably tons more, but these are the ones that have come up multiple times in this forum.

--where to go to buy them? --where to go to manage them? --what methods to pay? --when will I be charged?

I can see it working now, thank you! I didn’t want to make a ticket for this at first as I wasn’t aware if it was actually a glitch or not. Lots of businesses won’t let you unsubscribe and resubscribe within a certain time period to try and entice customers to keep it active and I wasn’t sure if that was a thing I’d missed or not 😅

The suggestions for the FAQ above are great!

Thanks for the suggestions! The FAQ is being worked on. It may take a little time to draft and polish the whole thing, but it's in the works :)
