Anyone and everyone is invited to partake in role play (RP) topics, however, if you are wanting to join in an existing role play, be sure that you read the original post made by the role play creator.
Role play creators may set a series of rules and guidelines when they create a RP (i.e. literate/serious role players only). This, however, does not mean you can 'close' an RP, have 1x1 RP's or have only a certain amount of users join.
RP's are to be in ENGLISH only. Foreign languages are not acceptable.
All RP's must be PG-13 rated. They are to be kept suitable for all users, adults AND children alike. RP's cannot contain any sexually explicit materials, mating and/or animals in heat activity. Please also keep in mind that Subeta is not a dating service.
While creating a similar RP that someone has is fine, i.e., a Highschool themed RP, a Dragon themed RP, etc., don't copy someone else's RP (with the same title and content). This also goes for copying someone else's RP characters. Be creative and create your own.
You may not recreate an existing RP that you created until it has reached the second page and has been locked. To have it locked, ping a MiniMod of this board and ask them to lock the old one OR submit a support ticket via the Ticket Center to have a User Administrator lock the board. AFTER it has been locked, then you can recreate it. If your thread is automatically closed due to hitting the 5,000 post limit, you may create a new one before the closed one has reached the second page.
Do not post images that break the forum tables. Large images must be linked to using sCode. Any images found breaking the forum table will be cleared by staff.
Out of character (OOC) comments: When making a comment that comes from you rather than your character, please label it as OOC, i.e. OOC: I have to go for dinner now. It is also advised to put the OOC comment within brackets [] or () so that is it easily distinguished from your in character writing.
OOC posts should be attached to an in-character post and while someone else may reply to the OOC portion of a post along with their in character post, no thread unless started by staff should be strictly OOC.
A single OOC post explaining a leave of absence or something similar is acceptable, but if it becomes a conversation, you will be asked to continue it elsewhere.
When possible, avoid posts that are only one or two sentences long. Be creative, really describe what your character is thinking, feeling or doing.
Before posting, read over your post to check your grammar, spelling and sentence structure to make sure that it will be readable and understandable to others reading it.
Your post doesn't have to be perfect but doing your best to avoid contracting many words, misspellings, typos, and terrible sentence structure will help others to be able to respond to what you have written.
Absolutely no God-Modding! This means having a character without any flaws, is all powerful/controlling, cannot be killed, etc. You can make a God-like character but it must have its weaknesses as well.
No flaming... ever! This rule isn't just for the RP board, it is a standing rule for all of subeta. If you have a problem with someone, settle it privately. If you have tried every possible way to settle it yourself privately and still failed, sMail a MiniMod of this board and they do their best to help.
If you are looking for another user to 1x1 role play with, 1x1 request posts go into the Roleplaying's Subforum for [OOC] RP Planning.
NOTE: Be aware that you may NOT make topics to request off-site mature role play, i.e. above PG-13, x-rated, explicit, hentai, yaoi/yuri, etc. Role play of this nature is not allowed on site, and you are not allowed to use Subeta to look for it off-site either.
If you're looking for non-mature yaoi/yuri, please list it as shounen-ai or shoujo-ai, respectively.
The Basic Site/Forum Rules, Community Guidelines and Terms and Conditions apply to this board. If you have not read these, do so! It just might save you from doing something against the rules and getting warnings, or worse.
PLEASE NOTE: All forum threads have a 5,000 post limit. When a thread has reached 5,000 posts, it will automatically be closed/locked and have the message, "This post is locked! This thread has reached over 5,000 posts! It's time to start a new one." If a thread has been automatically closed/locked due to reaching the 5,000 post limit, a new one may then be created.
If you have any questions, please submit a support ticket via the Ticket Center and a User Administrator will assist you.
NOTE: Please remember that all web-site plugs belong in the Internet board (located in the Entertainment Sub-Forums), even if it's a site for or about role play.
