Hi Subeta! Lately I've been enjoying the podcast Wonderful, where the hosts (a married couple) simply talk about things they think are wonderful. It's a basic idea but I think it's so -- yes -- wonderful, that I wanted to bring it here too. At the beginning of each episode, they talk about some "small wonders" that might not be things they can talk about for 10 minutes, but are worth their little spark of joy anyway.
So, everybody, what's your small wonder today?
Mine is when my little dog curls up and wiggles around so he's pressed right up against my leg.

My cat! He’s old and sickly, but between his health, the cold weather, and me staying home due to the virus, all he wants to do is curl up in bed with me to sleep. It’s nice to know that the end of his life is being spent warm and happy in the presence of family, and it’s the one silver lining I’ve gotten out of the pandemic

My little small wonder is (back when my betta fish was alive TwT) there was a large leaf i stuck horizontally in his tank. He would just lay on the leaf and take a nap there. it was the cutest thing! His tank neighbor (also passed away) would do the same but with a jellyfish toy he purposely flipped over to sleep in haha!
Mine is every time I see a new leaf on one of my plants!
my small wonder is that my JAWS screen reader is able to translate this site into a ame i can play. i'm so greatful for it and subeta .
I suppose this counts, I'm removing my car's alternator. I needed a small 13mm wrench to fit inside the cramped space. I did find one, albeit rusty in an old toolbox, which made all the difference.
We bought a bean bag chair, my tuxedo cat Houdini has commandeered it as his personal bed. So for me, it would have to be every time I look at that bean bag, he is curled into the tightest ball of comfort I have ever seen.

My small wonder is that I managed to catch the perfect, candid, mid-laugh picture of my boyfriend. He never really smiles in pictures and the fact that I caught such a cute picture of him makes me so happy :)
I bought a window hammock a couple months ago for my cats and they just didn't care AT ALL. But finally one of them figured it out and has been on it a lot! I love it <3 Cats are the best
I figured out how to tuck my bed sheets in so snugly that everything - fitted and flat - is perfectly smooth and it delights me to no end.

I cooked a pot of rice, per the instructions. It came out beautifully, just the way I like it. One step more towards feirce independence.
My two birds. They're either really mean to eachother or are nice to eachother. They're an odd duo where one likes to talk a lot and one just thinks about food.
My small wonder is coming back to Subeta after a long time to see nice posts here!

When I get to harvest fresh vegetables grown right on my front porch. Nothing tastes better than produce from the garden.
"i already am, i always was, and i still have time to be."
mine would have to be the few times my cat is curled at my feet when i wake up! she leaves immediately when she notices we're awake, but i see you little miss tofu. i see you.
10/10
the little animals that hang out on my deck and eat from a birdfeeder, sometimes a little bird couple shows up and they feed each other!
My not so little wonder is that we have some of the best behaved cats we could ask for. always using the litter, they come for cuddles, they like kisses, they know when we're feeling bad, and they even worry when they hear the other crying. They also didnt try to harm the bird we raise when one day when we were out, the strong wind managed to open the door to the room in which the bird is -the door doesn't close properly, and it needs help. And the bird doesn't sit in a cage- he's free to fly and go wherever he wants in the room. They were best kitty boys that day and received treats as reward ;D
I really have to update my blog ObscureJourney and my review site BeingObscure. French speakers can read my reviews here.
When my tiny bird, a Parrotlet pulls their foot up and takes a nap on one of us. It's like watching this small fluffy thing put their entire life and safety in your hands. The trust and the absolute cuteness of it :)both the girl and the boy do it. So far the lovebirds won't but they will do it nearby and it's pretty cute as well. But having something so small literally balancing on you sleeping entrusting you with their sleep ( and they make this small vibration!!) It's unreal and my heart melts every time.
Another likely small wonder is me making another step towards fierce independence. I bought glasses on Monday after my OLD pair broke. Also I was able to buy two pairs and still be under budget. I need to wait until September 6th to be notified for pick up.
