Filled Wardrobe Question

I have had the filled wardrobe achievement for a while now and have finally decided I want to get rid of some items in my wardrobe to make it more manageable to look through. My question is this. Has there ever been an official word stating that there will not be another tier added? I would hate to get rid of everything only to get another tier added. I thought about just putting the junk in drawers but then it would be nice to just get it all out and fragment it all or sell/trade the more expensive items off. I hate having stuff just sitting in there when I could make more use of it but achievements are most important to me.

staff have said they want to discourage "hoarding" and all achievements that encourage that type of behaviour are either to be retired, or simply not have more tiers added.
Generally speaking, they haven't increased tiers, that I recall, for anything that involves items. They've increased BHH tiers, donating stuff to fantine, and the like, but nothing that encourages you to buy and hoard things for the sake of an achievement.
That said, we users can never provide guarantees. Staff have said before, point blank, that they would never do stuff (like skins in the wardrobe), and then reconsidered. But, I give this one high odds of remaining consistent because it simply slows down the site when people have so much stuff.
TLDR: I'd say its safe to get rid of stuff, but no guarantee!

Staff hasn't said anything specific, have been contradictory, and are unreliable about this. I'm keeping all my wardrobe stuff even if I never use it. It used to matter as far as poor function of the site/your wardrobe speed, but this no longer matters so the cost to me is small.
If it makes a difference, the items you have in there do have a purpose, they are a backstop to make sure that you can get a new tier if there ever is one, and to also be able to prove you have this tier if that portion of the site goes wacky.
