Hello all!

So, I've read through the new CW information and some of the Getting Started things and so I apologize in advance if these are already answered somewhere but they're primarily geared towards the way the new CW system is set up. I'm wanting to ask them now because I have a few ideas for some potentially cute wearables (We'll see if my pitiful art skills cooperate ;-; ) and would like to have all my ducks in a row.

Question 1: Pertaining to being able to control # of stock etc: (Reading the Transition Guide)

Because 'Batching' isn't a thing anymore, are 'Pre-Sales' allowed? I'm not sure if that's totally the right term so I'll pose two scenarios using 'Example Dress' that, in this example, would ultimately sold for 500 CSC forever in my shop.

Scenario 1: During the Submission Phase I want to allow people to pre-order a copy of 'Example Dress' at a discounted price of 400 CSC with a maximum pre-sale number of 10. If this is allowed, from my understanding, they would send the CSC and then I would send them a copy once the item is created (presumably via some kind of purchasing from my shop myself and then sending it?)

Scenario 2: I put lock the item after it has been approved and set the price to 400 CSC and send the password/invite to the 10 Discounted Price people and then, once they have all purchased it, I would unlock the item and update the price to 500 CSC

I am more inclined to this option as the CSC stays with the Discount Price person until they purchase the item and I could also set an expiration date like 'you must purchase Example Dress from the store by this day to buy at the discounted price' or something.

Hopefully some of that made sense >>

Question 2: What is the proper place, if any, to garner an interest check on a series of items? Would it be this forum or elsewhere? Since I'm just starting out I would like to see if there's actually some kind of interest in the items I'm envisioning while I start to work on them. I don't particularly want to make a thread in the core 'Custom Clothing' forum until I have actual items made or in process of being reviewed. Unless, of course, that's the proper place for an interest check!

Yes, you can give people a discount. I would personally do option 2.

You can garner interest in this forum, but you cannot take slots. Slots would be in the main CW boards. Interest differs in a few ways, you can post sketches or concepts and color ideas and people can say "oh, I might be interested in this" and generally they get or request a ping for updates (like from sketch to almost finished) and can see how they feel. Or they'll ask for an update on XYZ color. So as long as it's for interest and not for slots/pre-slots, this forum is where it's at.
