I'm not completely sure where to post this, but after looking at all the forums I think this was the most appropriate place. If I'm still in the wrong place or this is a taboo topic, let me know. This is my first Lumi and I'm having fun with all the events and user run games. They're super awesome and I absolutely am grateful for all the gifts from the giveaways and "gift above" games. My only issue is, what do you do if someone just doesn't gift you? I'm pretty overly sensitive, so that could be the issue, but it happened twice in a row so I got a little sad about it. I just wanted to know if it just comes with the territory of playing user run games and if I should just shrug it off and keep going? or maybe they're gifting directly to the tree so I won't know until later? Thanks in advance for any and all replies. Happy Lumi! ~ ❤️

A few things are possible--it's definitely possible that they're gifting something directly to your tree, which you won't get an event or notification for. That's the most likely thing that's going on. When our trees open up, you'll probably see gifts from some of those users under yours. :)

Sometimes people post in these threads and end up forgetting about it. They might post and have something to take care of, and it just skips their mind.

There's also a small possibility that some users post in there with no intention of really participating, and just getting gifts. I don't personally experience this often and I don't think it's very widespread, however, since it might technically fall into the realm of scamming people.

I hope that helps out, and I understand the worry that can come with not being sure if someone is participating fairly or not. Still, welcome to Subeta--I hope you're having a good time here! :>

Thanks! I'm hoping for the tree thing now. I'm not sure when the gifts under the tree are able to be accessed, but I did notice my tree has present images under it, so that means I have at least one thing I don't know about. Thank you again for answering that very weird question / complaint of mine! ~ ❤️

No problem! Also, we'll get a news post announcing that Lumi trees are ready, and you'll be able to access your presents then!

In addition to what said, there's a few other things that can happen.

People just don't pay attention and they sometimes post at the same time as someone else. They are supposed to claim, then go back and look to make sure they're gifting the right person, but they just make their post and run off to gift without checking, so the post above person 1 gets two gifts, and person 1 gets missed.

Also sometimes people just misclick and gift the wrong person.

Blocking can be a problem to. If someone has blocked you, they can't see your post so they would end up gifting someone else.

You're not alone though, every time there are Person above threads, for all events, people sometimes get missed - whether its gifting, dancing or kissing. It is sad when it happens (and hopefully there will be lots of gifts under your tree), but its not generally malicious or scamming, mostly its just people messing up.

I've noticed when a lot of people are on the Lumi forums it gets kind of crazy. I've claimed people and then a split second later there's like three or four posts under mine claiming other people. It happens but I don't think most people have malicious intent behind it.

Working on filled wardrobe achievement. Almost at 12k!
