OK so theres an achievement for finding floating faeries in december, but I've yet to see ONE faerie and I refresh a ton basically all day while im restocking. I recall they used to be super frequent and I was wondering if staff forgot to enable it after the fall fireside event ran into december? I'd really like to finish the achievement i literally only need two more lol. Thanks so much if you can find out!

I haven't seen floating ones either, but I did get given one for posting on the forums once. Maybe that's just how they do it now? idk

Got it as a RE, but not on the forums. :) and yes, I remember they use to be floaters. ;)

Why the change though? I thought at first it was to not interfere with the floating red rreign items since we had two events overlapping but now that Fireside is over I don't see any reason for it.

edit: Unless they never were floaters and I'm thinking of something else.

In my remembrance, they were never floaters. They always just kinda...showed up in my inventory. But maybe my memory doesn't go back far enough.

I think it makes sense not to have another floater event. Three in a row is a bit tiresome. First the pumpkins, then the red rreign items, now the fairies? And in February/March it'll be the flowers. So I'm glad that they're not floating items.

They do seem kinda rarer than before, though, which can't be helpful for people who still have the achievements to get. I had hundreds, if not thousands, of pumpkins at the end of Morostide, and now I seem to be getting 1-2 fairies a day. And that's not because I'm inactive.

There's no winnning here. If lots of fairies drop, people complain. If less fairies drop, people complain. If the price of fairies drops, people complain. If the price of fairies rises, people complain.

When snow fairies first came out, they only came out via Random Event, and even then you were lucky to find four or five for the whole of winter.

Also, I did just get one in my inventory as a random event.

I mean I could accept that I was actually getting the fairies mixed up with other items that do float, but then the achievement actually uses the word "floating"...

And I was just asking why the change was made out of curiosity, not to complain.

Do the fairies you get through forums count toward the fairy catcher achievement? I have gotten one through RE and a bunch through the forums.

Yes, snow fairies did float for awhile. While some folks may not find the easter-egg-hunt mechanism fun, I do. The wording in that Achievement isn't wrong. I'm speculating this makes that one achievement harder than it has been. But all of the snow fairy achievements started out difficult.
