10 years on the site, and it never occurred to me to ask.

I've already got the achievement for having all the colors in my inventory. But is there something else I can do with them? Releasing a fairy didn't seem to be very rewarding.

After finding out that I should have kept all my Morostide pumpkins for Fantine, I want to make sure I'm not missing something again.

You should get the hidden Luminaire site layout for releasing 1000, though it doesn't seem to show the prize in the achievement page for some reason.

as far as i know, the only three achievements are catch 500 (forum title), have one of each in the inventory (idr the reward for this, if there's one outside of just doing the achievement), and release 1000 (luminaire site theme, iirc)

so if you've got the last two, i don't think there's a reason to keep 'em unless maybe the recycle beast asks for them and you want to save a bunch for him?

I'm actually currently using that site theme. XD I didn't know it came from the fairies!

Thanks - I guess I should have looked but I didn't realize there were other achievements related to the fairies. It looks like the only one I'm missing is catching the fairies (currently at 246/500). Which, unfortunately, is not something I can just make happen. Guess I'll just have to hope I get lucky. ^_^

How likely is it that the Recycle Beast will ask for them? I don't look at that part of the site very often.

i honestly couldn't tell you, i never remember to check him! i don't know if he even asks for them, it's just the only thing i could think of that would warrant saving big stacks of fairies in a gallery/vault outside of just fragging 'em

I save them to gift to people working on the release the fairies achievement :).

There is no reason they wouldn't show up in the recycle beast, but if they do its not often (like slots or fishing game prizes).

I check the Recycle Beast pretty frequently and can't remember the last time any of the snow fairies were asked for.

But like Lypsyl said, personally I'm going to save any I catch to give to people still trying to release 1000 for the Luminaire site theme. Some kind people gifted some to me when I was still working on it, and I think it's only fair to return the favor =)
