How TF have I actually offended you to warrant a block from ya? Did you get hurt by a post of mine in the news? Cant be a post of mine on the boards as ive only made 10 in the year 2020. & they have been in nothing you post in. Did I buy something from you where you forgot to add an extra zero? Did I buy a bunch of crap from your shop?

Some 14year old vet on this site recently blocked me as well. Looking at their posts. Yup, nope. They dont post in any of the boards Ive posted in either. Not a clue with you.

I shouldnt let it bother me. But it does bother me. Especially when my posts back years & years ago were more vocal & opinionated. & not a single person ever blocked me.

Me venting over stupid s**t like this is over now. For the time being.

After looking at your recent posts, it seems like you are extremely abrasive, and some users aren't exactly fond of this kind of atttitude, and thus, they'd block you.

There is a fine line between "constructive criticism" and "being annoying". When I see something like "you take my pet names, youre blocked for life.", I'm not really eager to interact with that kind of individual.

I've been abrasive in the past before, I'm aware of that, and I've been working on it. It's not always easy but it's step one towards good communication with others.

Probably has to do with the "you take my pet names, you're blocked for life" comment... that's the only post that I can hypothesize on. It was one of those types of posts that made me hard eye-roll. Beyond that, no idea because your posts aren't quite as abrasive overall as the user above me kinda made it out to be. Not the most flowery and pretty but not "extremely abrasive" either.

- as well as the comment on blocking people for life that 'take' your pet names, and a few of your other posts in the News and on the forums in the past, you seem quick to complain and quick to judge.

The 'See You Next Tuesday" on your profile probably doesn't warm you to people either. Just my two cents as to why you may have been blocked ^_^

{edit: just to add, I have been blocked by two users in the past that I have never heard of, nor had any communications with. Sometimes these things happen shrug}

Blocks happen - that's part of being on a virtual site. If I were you, I wouldn't worry too much about a growing blocklist. I rarely check mine, personally, and when I do it's mostly to mutually block folks so there's absolutely no chance of getting a warning for accidental block evasion or something on my end. (The site's block system ain't perfect, for sure.)

ETA: Well, I suppose I should add a condition--I wouldn't worry too much about a growing blocklist if it wasn't like... unreasonable lol. A growing blocklist can indicate that maybe it's time for some self-reflection in how someone interacts with others.

honestly all i can say off-the-bat is when you question others behaviour towards yourself, you absolutely have to question the energy or behaviour you are putting out to others; if it's a circumstance like this one where clearly it's the same issue with numerous individuals, even strangers. it's less of an issue of you directly offending people & i think most ppl aren't doing it to annoy you or hurt you purposely but maybe because they're scared to be bullied in the future or don't enjoy seeing forum posts with berate undertones. i just think it's not too much of a big deal and you shouldn't look out for or be counting who's blocking you, it's supposed to be a feature for users to not "be in the same circle" and i think that's fine, cuz if someone doesn't want to associate with you then you probably don't want to associate with them either & subeta life goes on.

I've been harsh in the past and I've mellowed out. I have a few users who've blocked me and they're people I don't even know. I wouldn't take it personally. Who knows what you've done to upset someone, plus it's a virtual pet site. It's only a game. To be honest... I read your profile and it seems a little stand offish. Will I block you? No because you haven't done anything to me.

My opinion? Don't take it personally.

It's against the rules to try and interact with people who have blocked you, so you have to know who those people are

It's a website on the internet so let it be water off a duck's back and move on. Honestly it's not even that big of a deal. I noticed a few people had me blocked but it doesn't bother me.

Pssh I'm blocked by people. Mostly from the SB during times when in passing it can seem its during an argument and the person just blocks lots of us for seeming mean from there. The way I see it if they can't sit and sort a situation out or see it for more than "rude" comments then k bye.

I got blocked for having a CW I'm "not supposed to have." Which hey, whatever, they have one of mine that's not supposed to be on the market period so.

The same thing happened to me, like 3 times in the last 3 months. I tried making an offer on someones lot and it said they blocked me TF. I tried placing offers on 2 other peoples lots but the same thing happened.

I've never seen these people or talked to these people ever.

I guess we are just to awesome for them to be friends with us.

like everyone else has mentioned, it comes down to being abrasive and communicating in not-the-best ways. and, honestly, something else: when i see people complaining about being blocked, i usually block them too. it's just annoying to see people publicly complaining about being blocked, especially when it's about being blocked by multiple people for what they think is no reason -- likely, there is a reason, and their reaction to it is more telling than anything.

I have two people who blocked me. But the second one I have the foggiest idea who they are. I don't ever remember interacting with them, and I barely post on the forums, so my guess is they must have seen a comment I made in a news update or something and disagreed with me, because I'm fairly certain I never said a word to them. I usually don't post on threads except for holiday threads, and don't think participating in a game would be offensive.But who knows? maybe they changed their usernames. I just ignore it and move on.
