I have equipped minion nip almost every year for Morostide since I joined, I have started to wonder how effective it really is. How much of a percentage increase to catch minions does equipping it give me? 5%? 10%? 75%? I'm asking because even though I am a regular (and heavy) site user, I do not always get the new minion each year -- despite literally hundreds of attempts. This year it appears to be attracting food rather than minions. I seldom get even the least valuable ones.

Just wondering if I am a statistical anomaly...

Also, since the minion nip doesn't work, can I trade it for book nip?

Thanks, but section 1 is the only section I have chosen since day 2. Halloeve also appears in section 1 and those are the only two I'm missing. I just hate having to buy them from user shop -- I really want the ach! LOL

Minion nip does make a difference. I'd say its around 10%. But its still no guarantee. There have been years where I seem to get all minions and other years were I get few. But the years I've gotten lots, I have played around with minion nip, some days wearing it some not, and noticed a definite difference.

It does! Usually there aren't very many minions compared to the total number of items, so it's hard to tell. This year there are a good amount of minions.

I have only gotten two of the special Jaxon minions this year even though there are lots of them, so I have been very unlucky, or it is indeed pet-dependent.

I'd say it definitely helps. I actually forgot about the minion nip, and for a week of diligently going to the pumpkin patch I found no minions. Absolute zero (meaning the black ones with the glowing auras).

Since donning the nip a few days ago I've found about 4-5. That's about 1-2 a day. I don't always find them, but it's still a lot more often than without the nip.
