Pet Name Change from Loyalty Box?

Question... if I use a name change totem from the yearly Loyalty Box (see reference pic below) to change my pet's name, will this item change the legacy name too, or will this just change the regular name, and whatever the name was previous will still be shown as the "legacy" name?
(sorry if this was asked before... I tried to search for other posts but couldn't find anything on it) Thanks in advance!
The "legacy" name for a pet cannot be changed - any pet name changes will change the pet's regular name.
There is no way, ever, to change the Legacy name. The only thing you can do is to go to the pools and remove it completely.
As far as I'm aware, if you try to use the loyalty box for a pet name change you'll likely get an error message. See FAQ about Legacy Names/Non-Unique Pet Names

Ooh thanks for the link, ... that was actually something I was looking for :)
I just got a loyalty box today... I'm noticing that the option to choose the name change totem is still on there. Perhaps if this is no longer an option it should be removed from the list?
