Hiya! Long time member who took a huge break (we're talking 5 years or so lol). I like doing quests to do money and especially Shinwa quests, but today she's asking me to visit Carl and I can't visit the islands? I know this is probably a silly question but usually I can just click the quest she gives and it takes me there so I'm not sure what I've done wrong!

Any pointers?

To access the islands, you need to find/buy all 9 uncharted land map pieces and turn them in at the treasure map area (under games). It's well worth it to visit Carl, especially for the current holiday as he gives out some Freyalise stuff. c:

You need to have completed the Uncharted Land Map to access the island. Do you have all the pieces? If not, you can buy them off the market.
