... Well, I ended up spending the rest of the day shirking my responsibilities and playing around on Subeta. Instead of doing what I should've been doing lmao. Absolutely zero regrets
I've been lurking around since then, playing catch up and tidying up a few things here and there before I felt ready to say hello. So, hello! It's been a little overwhelming what with all the changes I've noticed, and it seems like certain features are currently undergoing an overhaul or sorts.
There's a question I've been meaning to ask, and I've tried looking around the forums for an answer but it's a little harder without the search function. When talking about CWs, what exactly do "slots" refer to? I've checked out the CW shop since returning (my avatar's still a WIP don't mind it 💦), and to me it seems like they've got a somewhat different meaning now than they did way back when CWs first came out, now that there's a newer system in place.

I'm not a super expert on CWs, but generally CW's are released as unlimited, or a limited amount of slots. Slots are released in units of 5 usually, and each different releaser has a different system for how they release items. Some releasers buy the first 5 slots themselves to push the release, and sell the first 5 they buy via trades. Others wait for 5 people to claim slots to submit the paid 5 slots, then the 5 people would get the items directly on approval. Sometimes releasers discount or offer an incentive for claiming the first slots, so that they can push the item onsite faster. I'm not sure if that clears things up for you?

I've never released before, I think it might be cheaper to release 10 than 5, to cover your base cost of release, but I'm not 100%. Someone from the market might be able to clear it up better n_n

welcome back!! i hope you've had fun rediscovering subeta and i hope you've enjoyed your return. i'm in a similar boat, where i was reminiscing about one pet site only to remember about making an account on subeta some 6 years ago and not even finishing the tutorial, LOL. so now im back and all of a sudden obsessed w CWs too ^^ , was confused about slots as well so i'm glad you asked as the answer below ( thanks!) helped me.
