I want to use a recolor I made on one of my pets.

I heard that an overlay costs 500 CSC, but a simple recolor doesn't cost anything.

Is that true?

If you want that recolor of your pet to show up everywhere on the site that the pet shows up, then you need to pay the 500 CSC for an overlay.

It doesn't matter how much or how little your overlay has changed from the original pet - what you're paying for is the privilege of using that design as your pet image on the site.

If you just want to use a little CSS to make the recolor show up only on the pet's profile, then you can do that for free.

this is the code you'd add to a pet's profile to make it their overlay:

{ width: 200px; height: 200px; background: url(IMAGEURL) no-repeat}

and just replace IMAGEURL with the url of the overlay (i use imgur for hosting). you can also change the width and height if your overlay image is a different size; for instance, on veranda's profile you can see i replaced her pet image with the full size (400x400) version of the sweetheart legeica.
