Is there a reason myself ( and ) have had our pets be not willing to play for months now? Is anyone else experiencing this - is it a glitch or are there some mechanics that we are not aware of that make their happiness go down? Any info on the topic would be great! c:

two ways pets won't lose happiness:

1. They are kept in the resort/inn
2. They have a minion.

If they have a minion, the minion plays with them and they never lose happiness. If you need a pet to play with (for fun, or for Major Drills quests), remove its minion, or remove it from the resort/inn, which ever applies.

yeah, its not a very intuitive thing. The FAQ does mention it, but its easily missed in the noise.
