Possible ETA on the new search function?

I really don't want to come off like a jerk, but is there any way we could get like a rough guesstimate ETA on the new search function? Like days, weeks, months? I want to work on some of my pets' profiles but I can't search for/add new "pet friends" without having the search function up and running...
Yeah, I actually want to have it back to look at items and users. :(
We can't give an ETA at the moment, sorry. I can reassure you it's being worked on, and that we do understand why such a feature is needed :)
For items, the Item Directory still exists and is a lot better than the old search page.

No problem! The Item Directory is in Centropolis, but you can also find it from the top navbar: Subeta -> Item Directory :)

Pretty sure forum search hasn't worked in a long time. At least, I haven't seen it up anytime recently.
, it takes a while now that we cannot use the search function for users, is there perhaps another way? the search here is an important function that we need.

Ahahaha this is the best joke I have heard in some time.
Given that the site is running on a skeleton crew, with no full time programmers (Both Keith and Bug have others issues/commitments) at the time being, I think it's safe to assume that the ETA is - not anytime soon.
Work on the new search experience we envisioned has been put on hold. However, I'm going to see if I can put together a simpler, temporary pet search solution in the short-term, just so you can still have a way to do this in the meantime.

Thank you. Anything would help. I really just want to be able to find pet friends for my pets so I can finish their profiles for spotlight submissions.
We hear you! We also agree, it's an important feature to have. is actively working on putting something together for it now, and I saw he made good progress today! :) It will not be the final search experience, which we won't be able to prioritize for a while, but we do want to get something up for everybody in the short-term. <3

Hi everyone! and I work very hard, and we unfortunately haven't had time to focus on the new search page much due to more pressing tasks on our todo list. So I managed to find some time to put together a basic search on the old page in the meantime. It's not very fancy, but you can use it to look up all the pets with the same name :) Enjoy!
