i feel like any time we go out,, my friends be hungry....so i want to make a lil snack kit to keep in my car! we have hot summers where i live, so i'm not super sure about what snacks are summer resistant or proof haha. i'm thinking granola bars and different packs of crackers. preferably some healthy snacks too. alssssoooo, what would be a good way to store water bottles or other drinks in plastic bottles? ik you're not supposed to drink out of plastic bottles after they get heated up, so idk. whatcha think? c:

i also want to make a lil "emergency" kit with hair ties, mouthwash, contact solution, bandaids, apap/nsaid, emergency heat blankets, hot hands, tampons, etc etc..so suggestions for that would really be appreciated too

Trail mix, crackers, chips, cookies as long as they're not chocolate chip as those will probably melt, dried fruit, should be fine in a hot car. I will say that if you're putting in nuts, or chocolate, then maybe that might be an issue if the chocolate melts or the oils in the nuts go rancid after being left in a hot car for a long time, cardboard juice box type drinks might work too.

As for water bottles, you could try metal or glass for your own personal water bottle, and maybe switch to canned drinks for others. I don't think aluminum leeches as much as plastic in heat. Also cardboard juice box type drinks might be a good alternative too.

As for a general emergency kit, just off the top of my head, I'd say add hand sanitizer, neosporin, masks, sunscreen because of the current situation that's going on right now with the virus. Plus, not everywhere has hand soap so hand sanitizer works in a pinch if there's not somewhere to wash your hands in the immediate area.

One thing to consider with drinks is that if the car gets hot enough, the water will expand and so something could burst. Exploded soda definitely wouldn't be fun

Alcohol expands, lol. I've had hand sanitizer bottles and wet one packs pop open after being in the car for a while. Word of warning. I'd also be a little leery of things like tampons in a pack because some of those have bleach (oh yes) involved in making them sanitary.

Water won't exactly... vaporize in a hot car but it won't be good to drink either. I don't want to drink hot water unless it's in tea form.

My two cents.

As someone who uses contacts... A spare case with the solution could be a lifesaver too. I've spent a few nights with my lenses in shot glasses before, haha. And they only cost a couple of bucks which is worth convincing someone not to try and just sleep in them I think.

Packaged wet wipes would be super handy if you could find them packaged in a way that would keep them from drying out.

emergency chargers in the glove department r really nice esp if you live somewhere that's rural or just have friends who are forgetful be careful with food with a strong smell in case bugs are a problem (which is everywhere). you can always spray a mint or cedar wood oil to prevent bugs from sticking around but also maybe a lunchbox or something sealed? like maybe a cheap cooler n_n

My mom had diabetes and used to keep all kinds of stuff in her car in case she had an insulin reaction. Some of the stuff she would have were crackers, granola bars, beef jerky, nuts, heat stable candy like Big Hunk, and plastic bottles of pop.

As for the emergency kit you may want to add things like bobby pins, travel toothbrush/toothpaste, pantyliners, a small amount of any medication you have to take, change of clothes, a blanket, pens, a note pad or sticky notes, tissues, Q tips, wet wipes, dollar bills, and coins. You may not need all that stuff but it is just some ideas. c:
