Ok so my main reason for posting here is to request that the ability to sort items in my shop by price returns to the shops. That and sorting by quantity were the only two sorting methods I used. There is a new button to show just the unpriced items and that is really nice but I still want to sort by price because sometimes I want to check my item prices, particularly the higher ones, against their current going rate.

On another shop related note. I am not sure if I gave feedback when the Autopricer was changed years, was that years, ago but here it is now. Autopricer for two reasons receives many a negative adjective from me. Reason one it is slower than it was before. I do not understand how the programing behind the scenes works but on my end it is very slow to load. Reason two you got rid of the check box that allowed me to not autoprice items I had already priced the way I wanted. Since I am a patient shop owner I always have items that are priced above their current shop price and I want their price to stay the same. Without that box to remove those items from the automatic price changes the autopricer becomes completely useless to me. Even though I have had a Gold Account a few times since the changes I have given up on the autopricer.

Thank you though for the unpriced items button. I would still like to sort by price Please!

🌟YAY!!! I finally reached 5000 food items! My ultimate goal is 9000. 🌟
My first Gourmand pet would appreciate anything from this list that looks yummy.
Still need Morostide candy if anyone is trying to eliminate sugar from their pets diet

I really, really need that price sort. I used to use it all the time. Yes, its helpful to use the "0" to find unpriced items, and that's fine. But when I sort I'm looking at different things. If I could "pause" sales, then yes, going through my shop by pricing groups (less than, equal to and greater than) would all be helpful, but after autopricing I need a quick sort when I can scan stuff to make sure items haven't been mispriced.

Even if I limit using the options to view only certain prices ranges, its still not very helpful because the prices jump everywhere within that range so I waste a lot of time trying to figure out if I'm looking at 1M or 10M for example. Wasting time where people can buy my heavily underpriced items before I have a chance to find them.

Please return the price sort feature? begs 🙏 Most folks only really care about their more expensive sale items in their shops. It's really time consuming to have to make a note pad list of my expensive items, then look for them one at a time in the mess that is my shop. 😖 😿

Hey everyone, thanks for the feedback! We know you want this feature back, and we hope we can bring it back some day too. The site update at the time gives some background on why it was removed:

Quote
I have just deployed some user shops speed improvements. Most of the changes are behind-the-scenes: a lot of code has been shuffled and reworked in the hopes of making it a little more efficient, and reduce the rate of failure loading very full shops.</p>
<p>There is one change you may notice: the option to sort by price (when editing shop items) is no longer available. Instead, we&;ve replaced it with a &quot;View unpriced items&quot; button which you can use to view all unpriced items in your shop. This is because, due to the way it worked, a full price sort was causing a lot of lag, and I had to reshuffle the code in a way that no longer allowed for it in order to mitigate the lag.</p>
<p>We have further updates planned for user shops that are aimed at further speed increases and improved functionality. I am also thinking about how I can bring back that price sort. These are involved changes though and some will require scheduled downtime. Again, I&;ll continue to keep you in the loop.

(From More Bug Updates! (Also, Happy Pi Day!))

I hope this sheds some light on what's going on there. We care about quality-of-life and we certainly didn't want to make things more inconvenient without a good reason, it's just that unfortunately there was a good reason it was necessary here. The "view unpriced items" button was added shortly after that to try and make up for the lost quality-of-life from having to remove the price sort, since a lot of people used it for that.

I know it's not the same, but if you're just looking for the more expensive items, you could try to filter by price > 1,000,000 sP (or whatever threshold makes sense). They wouldn't be listed in order of price, but you'd at least be able to see all items above a certain price that way without having to resort to a notepad D:

would it be at all possible/simple to add a "pause sales" button?

Sounds like something for the suggestions forum? Most things are possible. It's much harder to predict how simple or complex they are and how much of our resources they would take, and it's especially difficult to determine how they should be prioritized in our schedule. I encourage you to make a suggestion topic on it; I can see how such a feature would be useful and it's something that warrants more thought/discussion. But not to lead you on - we do honestly have our hands quite full at the moment and need to keep prioritizing things like the wardrobe and site stability, so it's unlikely we'd get to it soon.

Yeah, it was something that was suggested right after the new shops came online. But a topic on it hasn't come up for quite some time, so maybe its time to post one again :).

FWIW my workaround solution is to put the hand-priced goods that I mean to remain hand-priced only into their own shop by themselves which never gets autopriced
