Hey guys! Just a quick question. While looking for information about the Forum Search feature I found this tweet which is pretty cool if you ask me!

Forum Search breaks if you sneeze on it. there's no good answer to your question.

Haha! I think we've all learned to sneeze into our elbows now ! I hope it'll work fine after the fix.

Not even a time estimation though? I'm asking out of curiosity 'cause I don't think I've ever used it. I just know it was already disabled back in September 2019 when I came back from a several year hiatus, can't recall anything before that date unfortunately.

I have always used an external search engine. I see questions about it show up in feedback and here fairly often and I try it then and sure enough it's not there or not working. Since I don't really use it and don't need it it's stored under "this has been broken forever" in my mind.

Honestly it's been so long I can barely remember, but it's been many years. I'd say since maybe 2014-2015? Certainly pre-2017. I know at one point it came back for a while but it was hella buggy. Then it got closed until now.

Unfortunately with no forum search, it's hard to tell. xD

Hmm. Whenever Subeta's forums stopped being accessible without an account and stopped working through google searches? Forum search was broken before that. (I like that the forums are no longer quite so easily accessible, for the record.) -> This was when the new forums were pushed in April 2014 (link). Some users complained about the lack of forum search then, so I'd say this is when it was pulled 'for good'.

It would be nice to have a working forum search, but I wouldn't get my hopes up. The programmers have enough on their plates.

: Awe! Been trying external search engines too but I'm truly out of luck, even with that site:subeta.net trick. I'd hate to create some thread on here that's already been made several times already, but I guess we have no other choice lol!

: Oh wow, well I kind of presumed it got disabled a while ago... but never THIS long lol! Too bad... I really hope it gets fixed too, it'd be so convenient! I'm sure there are tons of useful and nice threads lost in the abyss...

Uh oh well I got so many, yet so simple interrogations that I qualify as "thread-unworthy" and I don't wanna appear foolish asking haha! However, I'll make sure to do so if I really need clarification on something. Thanks again!
