After repeatedly losing items in the process of moving from shop or turning in to Recycle Beast, I was told to not move/turn in more than 200 pieces per action - I've still lost a few since then.
Today I have 3.600 pieces in my vault, which I'd like to turn in most of. I can only remove 50 at a time - either via account search, which needs continuously refresh account search or in vault, which needs to click item, scroll to 50pcs, click remove. After doing either 4 times, I can try to turn in these 200 to RB, which always takes a good while and causes stomach ache, whether it will succeed, or I will have to invest even more time to file a new ticket.
Over 50 times to remove the desired number, because I cannot at least put all into inventory and then do the possible 300 pcs batches at the RB, afterwards returning the remaining lot to the vault
I'd probably sit an hour to do this. And I try to do this at low traffic times, in order not to strain the servers, still getting tons of errors and bugs!
This is really bad and I don't know, if I'll find the time to do it today. Playing Subeta has become super tedious in regard of shops/item handling,... in spite of a lot of things, that actually have made playing easier and faster :-(
Well that explains why I am losing things. I was thinking I was getting more forgetful.
I know a lot of the new shop things are in place because of server load but guess what, it's kind of a case of server load vs user load so... it ain't helping anyone to have to move thousands of items, 50 at a time. Certainly isn't helping the servers.
coughs Perhaps a ticket to buff the move count temporarily should be a thing?

No, has nothing to do with your brain. Esp. the Cloudflare errors eat stuff. Has been happening to me on various occasions for at least a year. And I guess I have lost more than I know. Just sometimes, while you're leisurely playing along you startle and think "hey, that was another number, didn't I have more,..." and the like. If then you have been working with multiple tabs, you realize, you haven't been hallucinating. It's just super tedious to double check each and every move on here.
the problem is, if I move too many, the likelyness of losing some increases. Theoretically you can turn in 300 items to the Recycle Beast at once. And I am scared of removing "all" from vault to inventory (which would speed up the process immensely) - esp. since I've been told to stick to the 200 limit everywhere.
Yesterday I also lost a bunch of items moving from my shop to my inventory to recycle later. Even overnight with 200-300 users online, it wasn't as snappy as before the event. However, these recent days were more laggy when moving items, and also more error prone with Cloudflare and PhpAmqpLibExceptionAMQPTimeoutException in various places.
Maybe I think a big part of the lag is all the Vesnali coins being turned in or moved all over the place. I suggested this before, can we just have holiday currencies directly deposited into our currencies and be able to cash them out like Wizard Tokens to reduce another redundant move or cashing in, and also reduce micromanaging our inventory?
I wonder if or could explain why this is happening all of a sudden? I’ve never had this problem before - if the site timed out, it would either keep processing and the items would still move where I intended, or it would stop processing and I would just have to try moving the items again. Now when it times out, the items have a chance to just go poof. I’ve had to file two tickets recently to get items replaced 😬
So... has the deleting of some items thing only been happening recently (in the past month), or was it happening every time a user quickstocked and got a cloudflare error in the past, uh... 2 years?
Because I get those errors on average once a day when quickstocking a bunch of items (more frequently during events) and I really hope it's a recent issue and not something that's been going on for over a year. ._.
Would super appreciate staff clarifying this btw. 🙏
I've been working on emptying my wardrobe, so I hope I didn't lose anything in the process.
That being said, I lost tokens when I opened a platinum bag worth 250 steamwork trinkets. I bought the biggest bag because I didn't know this was an issue. Sometimes, the items themselves don't give you a choice.
Not a recent problem :-( My first ticket on that behalf is from June last year, but there I am mentioning having had (just 2 or 3) problems - at least that I know of...- 9 - 12 months prior. So it's been an issue for almost 2 years. I'm just losing a lot more now, because in order to clear my legacy shop, I've taken up Recycling again.
Other than being annoyingly and frustratingly slow (can't help it: in those teensy, weensy tiny new shops!!!) I don't know about quickstocking, whether that eats items as well. Verifying the success in that action would be a major undertaking, though :-(
Eesh, that's really not good. :/ I still hope staff can chime in and clarify for how long this has been a known issue and what exactly is affected.
I wonder if it has anything to do with the updated item transfer queue? I think they updated that when they announced months ago that they'd be deleting legacy shops.
Odd thing is, I have moved a crapload of event currency from my shop to my inventory some months ago. It did error out, but I waited and all of my items showed up after a while.
I definitely wish that it was easier to move/turn in large numbers of items, but I'm not sure how well that'd go, or if it's even doable. Hell, I've had the fragmentizer error out on me when fragging 100+ items at once, and I've had it error out when fragging 50-ish items. I've had quickstock flake out when quickstocking 50+ items to my shop, but I've also had it move 100+ items without issue. The magic number with this error is a mystery.
