Both wardrobes are broken and each has different issues, I know.

The hair filters in the new one are a complete mess. I don't know, which hairstyles I have actually unlocked - forget the borders, rofl.

There used to be that Hair Salon somewhere on the map, where you could buy them, I believe. HOW do I unlock hairstyles now - is it even a feature any more, or are all in the wardrobe accessible for everyone? Or am I just blind and the feature IS in the wardrobe? Obviously I am not an avid user of wardrobes - due to them constantly changing and also losing my saved things in the process. And because every single change I want to make from time to time seems to throw me into utter confusion and sacrifice of days thereafter.

There were some hairstyles that you could purchase from the Councilor's Cruise event years ago, that took place on the map and you could buy two hairstyles from each land that got visited. I'm not sure if those are still available to purchase in the wardrobe or not though.

Otherwise, you can unlock hairstyles from redeemable wigs. Certain wigs in the Cash Shop are in the redeemable wig category (usually the ones from the Boutique sets like Delish and such). If you purchase the wig item and choose the "redeem" option from your inventory, it will be unlocked in the wardrobe for you to be able to use and change the colors whenever you want.

At least that's how it should work. But I know there have been a lot of problems still to fix with the hair salon in the new wardrobe, so if you're encountering issues right now it's probably because of that.

I bought them all back then and they are the only ones in the "unlocked" filter, the second one. And then there is the 3rd filter "locked hairstyles". I do not think, that they have anything to do with the redeemable wigs, though. Among those are the ones from the cruise as well. With a green border. And the one I am wearing right now, has a red border, but obviously I can wear it, like another one I tried. I am at a complete loss and believe, that I did buy other hairstyles as well back in the days, not just the ones from the cruise. But this is all a mystery to me right now.

The way I explained it is the way that it's supposed to work, but the new wardrobe is really broken right now, so there are a lot of problems. If you're able to wear a hairstyle that you haven't unlocked yet, that may be why.

For me at least, it seems like the "Locked Hairstyles" category is showing all hairstyles that exist, even if I've already unlocked them. Including things like redeemable wigs, the default wigs, and the Councilor's Cruise wigs.

How it should be is that the Unlocked Hairstyles section should show all of the ones you've unlocked either by purchasing or redeeming or whatever. Locked Hairstyles should show the ones that you haven't purchased or redeemed yet. Free Hairstyles should just show the default ones that everyone has access to. But because the new wardrobe is still messed up, it's not showing things properly.

I had no idea, how to find those wigs, but thanks to SubetaLodge, I did. I just tried searching for the name of a hairstyle and got a result. Thanks again for the help!

Another question - some Wigs have a very unique mixture of colours. Like for example Delish Verid Shampoo. If I redeem it, it will lose that colour, right? Or at least it'll be gone for good once I "dye" it in the wardrobe?

If you redeem it, you can choose your own colors, including the highlights and stuff, so if you use a color picker to figure out what colors are in the original version of the wig (or at least get close) you can sort of replicate it in the salon.
