Got one, but it didn't work, had to wait full 5 min, is this an (yet other...) issue?

I don't pay super close attention to my times, but I think the buff time goes up to 5 minutes max and has a pretty good chance of being shorter

Of course, now that I'm paying attention, I'm not seeing it, but I think I got up to an 8 minute wait without the buff recently.

I've found that the buff gives 1-3 minutes. But the very first dance, when you get the announcement that you've gotten the buff is NOT part of the buff and can be 3-5 minutes.

Thanks! Probably that delay thing between the event and the actually happening. Sort of like when you changed your clothes, but the HA shows the old ones...I think.

It's not a cache-delay. The click-action of asking anyone to dance results in a randomizer "wait time result" first, then once that number is generated it results in a roll of the randomizer to see if this particular ask triggers the buff. Account buffs do not go backward in time.
