Is everything closed in Germany too besides supermarkets and bakeries? They are planning on a curfew here too in Belgium.

only grocery stores, pharmacies, doctors and drugstores are open, everything else is closed to the borders around our country, except for the netherlands, also and from tomorrow on we will probably get the curfew. many young people here are so unreasonable and celebrate corona parties outside, they don't understand how serious it all is. if all people are careful, always wash their hands, avoid contact as much as possible and stay at home when they should, then we would probably all get the crisis under control faster.
take care of your family and yourself.

Same here... The last day the bars were open all the students went out to party. I still hear about people who go to the Netherlands to shop.

I'm in the US. We don't have a curfew yet...or a lockdown but I am wondering when it is coming.

all instructions and restrictions change daily and even if there are contact bans or curfews, i think they make sense. we have an unknown situation where people need clear instructions, there is no room for discussion, it is not about a cold, but about all our lives

in the US here also, Arizona. And yep another set of embarrassing moments for those of us willing to hold our president to the same standards as we would hold our children. We're voluntarily quarantined at my house and we're all sick. No way of knowing if it's Covid19 or not since testing supplies are so short here, but we're just doing our best to stay home and if we do leave, bring disinfectant wipes so we're less likely to leave germs. Hope you're all staying safe
I heard what Trump says and I can't understand it, the thing is serious and he makes everything nice, how can he be so irresponsible? I'm so sorry that you can't get tested and I don't understand who decides who gets the test and who doesn't. It's also bad that there are no proper medications and if I were you I would go to the barricades, it's your life, nobody should stand in between and close their eyes to the seriousness of the situation. parents have to be there for their children, who should take care of them in case of quarantine? look on the internet for options what you can do to get tests, but please don't buy any, it's all fake, no drugs that promise healing or improvement. i send you all the strength i have and pray very hard that you will get better soon. positive thinking please, it's not much, but if you don't believe in something it can't work.

... the netherlands have now also recognized that this was not the right way

if you read every day what this man emits for his spiritual waste, you wonder how it could be chosen. he may be a good businessman, but that also means that his competence is exhausted entirely. no matter what goes wrong in the country, he is looking for a guilty person instead of a solution. so many people die every day and now he 1. promises to eradicate the virus in autumn if he comes back. 2. the usa is currently researching whether and in which chinese laboratory the virus was created. 3. He talks about gradual easing to get the economy going again, but leaves the steps to the responsible politicians.

He's not even a competent businessman. I could go on and on and on about his failings, what he and his administration lack, etc., but at this point I'm too tired to be angry about the president of the US anymore.
I live in Germany now (for four years, woo!), but I still see all the news from back home, hear about all of my friends and family losing their jobs, having their hours cut, not knowing if they'll have health insurance or be able to afford groceries. It's just.. gross. The entire political state in the US is gross, it's completely behind the times, and I just.. it makes me sad.
I heard that next week in Bavaria (or at least in Augsburg where I live?) that they're enforcing that all people have to be wearing a mask when they go out. I'm the only person in the house who goes out, and I try to only go once a week, but I see people meeting up with their friends to take their kids on walks around the neighborhood. I don't mind the people playing in their own gardens and stuff, but watching two women with their toddler-aged children taking strolls around the block together just irritates me. Sometimes I think the Germans are really taking this seriously, and sometimes I think some of them just do not care.
My heart just hurts a lot lately. :(
please--- stop crying.
i can understand how you feel, it must be bad to see and hear how helpless your friends are and suffer and the only one who could do something is just taking care of himself. as you say, it would be too much to go into the subject and I believe that everyone can see what is happening there (not). you want to help so much, at least one person, but how? the limits are too, shipping is incredibly expensive and even donations in kind would not really help. that can only be done by someone who also has the opportunity to do something.
i live in hamburg and from monday we have to wear a mask all over germany, even if i disagree with our chancellor, she urgently advises caution and warns against carelessness. Just like you, the people behave here, the few who are outside with the children do not care and I also do not care how they deal with their lives, but since I shop and meet people on the street, they endanger my life too and that is just irresponsible, but when you speak to them they only react aggressively.
It's not just the Germans who behave that way, it's so human everywhere, we have a situation that nobody knows and that nobody can handle, you don't see the danger and if you notice it it's too late. listen to your stomach and follow the rules as best you can, you can't do more. protect your family and loved ones and take care of yourself and please, don't cry anymore.

everywhere there is research on a cure, as soon as there will be something it will be made public, but no one currently knows whether it will be this year. We all want to go back to our old life, but that will not be possible and we will have to live with restrictions and changes for a long time almost everywhere. please be patient, even if it is difficult, you can not emphasize enough how fragile the progress we have made and to keep it that way we have to keep a clear head. please don't listen to what an old senile man is spinning in his tangled head. I always thought he was "only" an incompetent politician, now I think he is dangerous, because a human life has no value for him at all, only as a vote. he spins things together that are neither useful nor useful, instead of taking care of protective clothing and medical equipment that is urgently needed everywhere.
please, please don't listen to him just because you chose him or believe his words. If you think you have to follow his strange advice, call one of the many info telephone numbers or ask a doctor, don't just do what he tells you. if there was anything that would really help, a remedy or a drug, he would be the first to take it ... as soon as i hear something on the way to a remedy or vaccine i will post it. I do not just write things that I have read somewhere, but make sure on many pages that this also corresponds to the truth, or that there are various places that confirm a message. I still beg you to have a look at the www, because every country has different posts that bring news and especially universities that work on the whole corona thing.

meantime the situation here in germany becomes a little bit better *finger cross *

this is just a note to a documentary that makes the current state of affairs a little easier to understand, it is not political or it is attacking someone! I always wondered what went wrong with the man. now i see a reportage about how he grew up, his career and that explains a lot. He condemned people who didn't have his "stand" or a different skin color early on, but he hated being accused because he made a lot of money with them. the important thing for him was always to be better than everyone else (which was never the case) and above all to be liked. that hasn't changed until today. The decisive factor was the relationship with Roy Cohn, a man whom he emulated and admired, because he taught him to win every defeat, you just have to sell it well. he believed everything in the man and certainly wanted to be like that, but in the end he only became a copy, a man who lived his life as a blender and had an incredible success in the usa, does that seem familiar to you? Even at a young age, your "boss" rebelled against everything that prescribed what to do and what to leave, he ignored the rules, he wanted to determine where to go, for him and for everyone he could reach. well, if you want you can search for Roy Cohn yourself, you will be amazed at what is shown to you and you will find many parallels to what is happening to you today.
I hope and pray that he won't get another chance for years to come, people must finally be able to follow a clear path again, know themselves and their families in safety and be able to go to work in the morning, whatever their status or skin color. it is bad enough that it is still a topic in the 21st century
