Question: How does one get an Aqua potion for your pet (other than by spending loads of Sp in player shops, or trying like mad to win one in the potion lottery lol)? Is this a specialty colour where you need to be in the right place at the right time, or can it be bought in one of the main shops (and you just have to hope to catch it there)?

Yes, it restocks at Apocalyptic Apothecary Rarity: 95 (Super Rare)

You might (unlikely) get one from a quest or from Major Drills or as a Random Event. If you are patient, you can zap your pet at the Ultimate Pet Zapper and you will eventually get an Aqua (whatever species) that you can then change into a Blob. The Aqua color will be preserved, since it is a color that Blobs come in.

That said, the Aqua Potion is selling in usershops for 3.1MsP, which anyone can make by doing one day's worth of quests.

You could also make a thread in the adoption forum saying that you wish to adopt an aqua pet. Then like said, you'll be able to change that aqua pet into a blob.

But yeah, it's quicker to save up the sp to buy the aqua potion from a user shop.

It's a rare item which is why you'll hardly see it in the shop it restocks in. If you're lucky, they may bring it back in the Token Shop, but they usually only do that for non-recolour potions.

EDIT TO ADD: OMG thank you to whoever sent that gift with the potion!!! You are my hero! HUGE HUG!!!! Chocolate Kiss is now an aqua blob (YAY). Now... time to work on a layout to make him look like a... well... a chocolate kiss haha!
