is there an item or mod that will keep me from being frozen every turn until I die?? I'm trying to fight a couple of the mucha lucha guys and their freezer is bad
A T9 freezer that will give you a two turn anti-freeze blessing after use. You make this from components bought in the battle shop and a loot drop from Aboxalypse. A mod crystal that has a 10% chance to give you a two turn anti-freeze and anti-stealing blessing, as well as some block. You can buy it from the battle shop for 3 medium tokens. A mod crystal that gives a 10% chance for a five turn anti-freeze blessing and adds two icons of damage to your weapon. Costs 20 very hard tokens in the battle shop. A mod crystal that gives a 5% chance for a five turn anti-freeze blessing that also adds two icons of damage to the weapon. These drop from a couple challengers and are pretty cheap to buy from other players if for whatever reason you can't afford/don't want to pay for the baguettes.
Add mods to your weapons in the armory here or by clicking the open in the item's menu if you don't know how. You can add as many of a single kind as you have mod slots for as there's no restriction.
I kind of wish the description for parched crystals was actually related to what they did, because it's confusing.
thanks; I'll give the crystals a try; Ill look into forging that helmet.
so, 1 down...1 to go.
You Won! You have defeated The Shadow 5 times!
You won a(n) Very Hard token to use in the battle shop!
don't think i can get the big guy
Thanks for any help you can offer--I'm completely new to battling and I was also wondering about being frozen. So once I modify a weapon with one of the crystals, is it modified forever, or does the crystal disappear after one use?
It will stay modded until you replace the mod with something else or remove the weapon from your armory :)
Cool, thanks so much.. I think I'm getting the hang of this!! :)
Aww, I'm glad :D If you need help with anything else, feel free to ask over on Battle Chat 2021!. There's usually always someone around who can answer your questions!
... sorry, I am not really a battle expert, I have a pretty well-trained pet, but I don't know much about the weapons and mods. I always come to the forums to ask the experts; they're very helpful. good luck!!
Thanks for responding to me, and even if you're not an expert maybe you could answer just a couple of questions: it seems that only the health of the pet is the stat that counts in the battle, is this correct?
and also: I'm working on preparing 3 of my 17 pets for battle, does it make more sense to only train one at a time.
My main reason for getting into battling is that I'm tired of paying mega millions for books!! I have one of the top rated readers on the sight and I read to ALL my pets (proudly they are all over 650 books read, while a few are much higher, except for the newest pet, just adopted last wk) who's working up to it now)
Hi! I'm not an expert either but I think the answer to what you're asking is: health determines the HP of your pet during the battle. Strength and defense affect how much damage you do and how much damage you can block. If your speed is much less than your opponent's speed you are more likely to get hit by a critical hit (double damage) and visa versa.
The other important thing to note is that in the training center you can train your pets to 2.5 times whatever level they are. This is the primary purpose of level, so in general your pet's level will be a lot lower than the other stats. It's also advisable not to train your pet's level too much more than this because the cost and amount of time it takes to train a pet in the training center is based on the pet's level (I think! Someone correct me if I'm wrong).
Hope that helps. Have fun! That's amazing how many books you've read to your pets! I still need to work on that some more.
Thank you VERY much for all of that very useful information!! I knew there was a relationship between level and the other stats, but I didn't know it was 2.5, so that's good to know. I have a couple pets who are trained up enough to have top jobs at SAI and, in fact, most of my pets have top jobs at the agencies where they work, so I DO have some familiarity with training pets, but never for battle until now. It's well worth employing all the pets, because I'm now netting a little over a million sP every four days from my pet's combined incomes.
I also appreciate knowing that speed, strength and defense are important, for the reasons you've cited. Does battling increase any of the stats? I'm aware that the battle gains some points which can be used to buy stats, but is there any other benefit, other than the sP earned while battling?
My top two pets are at tier 5 and most of the rest are tier 1, but I also have one that's a 2 and another that's a 3. I have a different weapon set for each of those tiers. At this point I just learned about modifying weapons to keep them from getting frozen and I understand that if a modifying crystal is replaced with another crystal it will cause the original one to simply disappear, but what if the weapon is moved from a set? Will that cause the modifiers to fall off as well?? Again, thanks so much for your help!! :)
That's quite a substantial income from your pets! That sounds like it would make it worth training the levels.
Apart from the exp you earn from battling which you mentioned, you get battle tokens to spend in the battle shop and there are other useful items that drop after a large number of wins. If you want to know more about the item drops there's a guide here: https://subeta.net/forums.php/read/893452. I also recently started doing the battle quests more regularly to get exp.
Removing a weapon from a set shouldn't cause it to lose it's mods. Some of my weapons are in multiple sets. I think it's more of just a quick way to select the weapons you usually use.
